The documentation says that there is no option to buy back a unit because we should plan ahead and if we have the right strategy there should be no need to buy back a unit. If we do not know what is coming up, how can we possibly plan ahead??

Step 1: Start wave. Step 2: Go do something else for 3 minutes. Step 3: When the 'sounds of battle' have stopped, upgrade. Step 4: Start next round. Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 until you win.

You should get some strategy tips on each map, so you don't have to play it over and over, trying to guess how much enemies are coming and how clustered they are...

Man I really like undefined's games. He's got alot of great ideas....but each game is just slightly broken in some way. As in this game is great but without a speedup gets tiring :\

Gees, this game out 8 years ago? @_@ I beat it twice on newgrounds, guess i never beat it here... *sigh* Hard badge here i come

I tried this game for the quest badge a couple years back... Still have only 4 unique maps completed. Pretty sure I spent days on this game to no avail.

@bartje456, use the "report missing achievement" function. You can even get the badge of the day bonus back if you submit on time.

I really like the game but even after trying the lag fix suggested by Antwan2, still had issues. I would have ranked the gamer higher except for the lags. Fortunately got BOD before lag became terrible.

My advice to those of you after the badge, start the wave and go do something else, have another game open I don't care. The whole ordeal is probably too slow to be worth it being as old as it is.

F*ck this... it took me less times getting all 6 remaining badges of the week then it took to finish 3 map on this games. The only good thing about this game is that you can go into another tab and this game continue running, so you don't have to lose times always watching this game.

... I dunno if anyone's said this, but I think this is the first game I've played on Kongregate that I'd prefer to be playing somewhere else, rather then the other way around.
Why remove the preview bar from this version, but leave others perfectly intact? I'm completely at a loss.

This game is so awesome, although I'm partial to the later versions with a fast forward. Still, a very well designed and balanced game. Worth a shot!

It's LAGTASTIC!! Also, if a Wizard is such a pretentious prima donna that he won't stand on the grass, I don't really want him working for me. Must have a really strong union. I typed all this while the stunningly boring battle raged on above me.... Wonder what's on TV?

Strategically, you should start putting your units late on the track, so that any new units get a chance to train, but then you have to wait for the enemies longer. A game so slowly paced you sacrifice strategy out of boredom is kind of failed...

And after so many years, there is STILL no fast forward button? You - the developer - must have heard by now of the game's lag and very slow play. Time to add the ff button yet?

Besides minor nuisances like no speed-up button, this game suffers from being very badly thought through (despite all the boasts about deep strategy). Numerous options like specialist levels on Dexers are mathematically just inferior and never, ever worthwhile. Even potentially cool towers like Necros are often similarly worthless for their price when one actually crunches the numbers. The result is that nearly every level is best approached with a mindless swarm of low-level generalist mages of mixed colors with 1-2 specialists per color at the entrance.

I bored with this game quickly. It goes way too slow and I feel how long the waves are start out too long. It took quite a while to even just complete the 5 maps needed for the badge… I also don't feel it gives much explanation what the symbols mean for the monsters strengths, weaknesses and immunities. It just gives symbols and leaves it up for interpretation, which was fine when I just figured "ok purple means it's weakness is purple. Got it." But then that got confusing when there were two purple symbols (different) with one in the weaknesses and one in the strengths. I never really figured out what each meant. I kind of assumed that maybe one was from the generalist upgrade path and one for the specialist or something like that. 3/5

After about 1 hour: 4 maps completed, easy marathon to go.
After 2 and a half hours: 4 maps completed, easy maraton for the next time. It;s not "I want the daily badge" anymore. It's "I want to finish this @#$%! stage!!!"

I realize its an old game, but the difficulty gets ridiculous very quickly, and as has been pointed out, there's some very basic features left out that could make a big difference.

The game is an abomination of a tower defense. I know better tower defenses that came out long before this game. The only reason I'm here is for the most tedious of the "Badge of the Day"s.
