Why would I want to play a game that is 99% luck? At 455 points, I saw 20 black mines at one time. This after not seeing but 1 for the previous 5-6 seconds. Zero skill involved in that. 1/5

For those going for the hard badge, getting invincibility power up and then hitting mines gives you delicious points WITHOUT making you bigger. This is how I did it, and I got 2463.

Seems like a really lazy-arse shmup, and pretty random, but whining about the BotD makes no sense since getting 200 points is easier than taking a dump in the world's cleanest toilet, and with a bounty of the world's softest paper by your side. Seriously, you shouldn't have any trouble getting it on your first try. And if you don't have it done by your third, you just plain suck.

Tried aiming for the hard badge. Randomly hitting "power ups" that eventually end up either blinding or killing me stopped me in my tracks.

It's been a long time since I last left a comment on this dead website, but this BOTD really takes the cake. I have played many games here that are more frustrating than this one, yet Bubbles 2 is by far the absolute worst badged gamed I have played on Kongregate. The only thing making this game less frustrating than some of the others I have excoriated is that it doesn't even stoop to the pretense of blaming the player for randomly losing. It knows that it's random and it doesn't care. There's hardly any player agency at all, and what little agency does exist is degenerate in nature. There's an essential, archetypal, almost primordial garbageness to the design of this experience. It is less a "game" than it is the *idea* of a game, a lazy scenario one might contrive as a test case for a hobby deep learning algorithm. If I could give this a score below 1/5, I wouldn't hesitate. -1/5.

Um, maybe I'm playing the game differently then other people, but it didn't seem like there was any luck involved in getting the hard badge for me. The only way that luck could be involved is if you are close to winning so you are very large, but absolutely no power-ups appear and a bunch of mines appear.

This would be a fun game if the developers ensured pathing, but as mentioned by everyone else, they do not and it really ruins what could be an enjoyable experience. What's worse is the hard badge that acknowledges RNG is required...

Hard badge is easier than it seems at first. Yes, it depends on RNG heavily, but scoring is roughly exponential, so it doesn't take as much time as it might seem at first.

Just get the easy badge and forget about the hard badge. The movement is sluggish and you get too large to avoid mines before coming close to reach 1938 points to get the hard badge. Let's say you play an hour and still don't have it. That's an hour wasted without any progress. At least in many games, every hour/minute/second is progress towards your goal.

Which key do I tap to "play again"? The game is keyboard controlled but you have to use the mouse. That doesn't make sense. In fact this game wouldn't be crap it you just controlled your bubble with the mouse in the first place.

The Bubble Only power up may not be working correctly was about 200 points from hard badge had Bubble only power up and a mine came out of nowhere

I don't think the lag is their fault. After all, the changes to Flash over the past 12 years have made Flash laggier.

The bubble moves immediately to the left edge of the screen and stays there. I can only move it up and down there. Weird.

controls are not sluggish or delayed, there is momentum in game, you accelerate but thats not people cry for, they have an inner fire burning because of being UNLUCKY.

It's not terrible, but you start with a minute of basically chasing small dots without any real danger and then you're left to the RNG to get the right bonuses at the right time. I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure that the way those mines fall considering the size you get at around 1000 means you basically need pure luck for half of the hard badge.

Stuttering graphics and sluggish controls make this a game you really should put no time in. The idea is ok, execution is severely lacking though.

Hmmm... It may be fun as a very short distraction but the sluggish controls make me just want to get the BotD and move on. Which might be a good thing since the rest of the comments here are indicating that after that very short distraction it quickly turns into an exercise of frustration as you're left hoping RNG allows you to survive.

Finally, I managed to get over 1935 points, and in all my euphoria I would almost forget to submit score and this almost gave me heart attack.

i enjoy bullet hell. I really do. but this offers nothing new to the table - are the controls better than most free games - given the water motif - yes! beautiful controls
but that doesnt excuse a bland game design
even having a smigdgen of story, it doesnt even have to matter, just for someone to tell me *why* im doing this is all i need

Easy badge you can just with getting bigger, and dodge mine when you are small until you get two good super power on the screen. You can get badge with few tries

fun little game. does require luck. I've gone through a lot worse for a kong hard badge. took maybe 15 minutes to get the right bonuses when i was big
