Certain skills are rather useless, for example, Sorgal's Scourge of Malice would be a lot more practical if "spectral" damage did not mean that EVERY enemy with ANY resistance suffers less than the expected damage to it! The Kitsunes are excellently designed, but the sheer ineffectiveness of the ice type attacks, especially when compared to their respective fire counterparts, makes half their skill tree to be nothing more than an ornament.
The two slot limit on skills is indeed a great aspect of the challenge of the game, forcing the player into thinking up effective strategies and maximizing the output. However, once the kitsunes are able to use the meteor and fire storm spells, coupled with the kings' spiritual healing and Sorgal's Warcry and speed buff, what remains of strategy is to just sit around and change to an ice type attack whenever an enemy immune/highly resistant to fire comes around. I think balancing out the ice attacks will help overcome this block.

This is one of the best games I have played so far. Definitely 9/10. Yes, it has it's flaws and has room for improvement, but the concept, it's implementation and presentation are simply superb. This is not a TD game with elements of a RPG in it. It is a RPG with a solid fantasy-epic based storyline and a TD style battle system. The extremely flexible skill system allows the player to freely choose his playing style, create and adopt strategies to the situation, and of course, the variable immunities and resistances of the enemies(especially in the hell campaign and eternal damnation battles) ensures that the player cannot just station his units cleverly and go off for a coffee break. Like any other RPG, some grinding is required, but the game COULD have used a little more length, maybe 2 or 3 more stages? The character of sammine is missing from the story, maybe she was added because 6 heroes felt like too little for the game? [Review Continued in the next Comment]

This game isn't very hard and doesn't require much strategy. You can't even make more people/towers like a real tower defense style game you just have a few people that can only have two abilities each, and you place them at the beginning of the game and cant do anything else. '+' if you think this game need more strategy not just beginning of game placement.

This is old, but anyways, after playing this game a while, if it did implement the Kong API, it should at least get 1-2 badges. This game, though you gotta grind, and some levels just turn me off, but regardless of these faults, it's still a challenging and 1/2 decent defense game. THey could improve it with some tweaks, and map changes.

by the way, this is SO funny, i keep getting confused between the next wave button and the speed multiplyer, once i was playing and i wanted to speed up the game but i clicked the wrong icon, so it kept sending in a whole bunch of waves and im like "what in the whole world is goin' on here!!!!!!" lol

the game would b easier if the hero's had a little more life and i TOTALLY agree with the grinding and the slots, this game needs a couple of improvements, rate + so owner will C

"Win with ability not numbers"... and the monsters flood the screen, all waves released simultaneously. Is this a bug? It certainly is sadistic.

Great concept. I would like to see more skills usable at once, more time to set up, more passive skills, less grinding. 4/5

there should be 3 skills allowed otherwise the kings just stand in the middle with the skill that you get more mana and the one which gives you some health for 8 seconds

its origonal, but not very good, considering you can only have one of each "tower" on the map at once, this is a tower defense game, there should be a tower system, not a hero system. havnig heros is fine, but we need more towers, real towers,

I wish they could have added stat upgrades for each of them, something along the lines of "upgrade the amount of mana (this character) has" for mages. Then something like "upgrade the damage done by (this chracter) by 10% each point" for warriors.

It would be better if demon, kitsune and king had some passive skills as well. The way it is now, those heroes won't get stronger after reaching certain level.

Game seems designed to be played AFK. Set up units, max speed, leave. Repeat. Pretty much necessary to get the levels you need later on, and there's no point in sitting watching the game run.

About the comment on the classes, a shield maiden was an archer who basically played back up to a knight by keeping track of their gear and running it to them in battle if they couldn't get to the stuff themselves. Oh, and Kitsune are Japanese fox spirits known for their trickery using magic based loosely around the elements of nature. I think the two kitsune should have different elemental abilities personally, it would make things more interesting.

@ taolas: you only need 1 character up to defend the first wave though really, how long do you need to position one unit?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
not enough strategy. You can win the game by clumping your heroes together, maxing the speed, and doing the level over and over without

Great job covering basics though: You have a send next wave button.
You have a speed up button.
Decent help section.
However, still change the fact about how OP heroes can be a bit this game has great potential! Keep it up great effort.
