Wow, really, people hate this? I guess that's probably because it doesn't require you to waste 3205897 years grinding the way toss the turtle does. The controls seem smoother than in most other similar games, it's quick and fun.
EXCEPT it's missing a score. It would be really nice, but needs SOME way to track progress:)
I understand you wanted to automate travel, and I don't mind it. However, the player moves slowly in this game. If there is no choice at all, it should happen pretty fast.
No, I don't think it should have upgrades. It is a "quick to play" game. Adding upgrades would just result in unnecessary grinding.
One thing it is missing, though, is the ability to jump with another button. I'd like the option of using spacebar to jump.
Additionally, what exactly are the multiple lives for? They don't seem to do anything.
In a lot of the levels you can jump over the creature chasing you...and it DOESN'T turn around. This means you can proceed through the rest of the level free of time pressure. Needs fixing.
I played this game for awhile, and I will say that each level got progressively better. I think a lot of people stop at level 2, because the early levels are boring.
The main problem with this game is that you go right, then left, then right again in each level...
But the second time going right is exactly the same as the first. It would be more fun if you automatically beat the level after putting the key in the lock. That way you have to make one round-trip, without the extra repetition in each level. That way, it would be a lot faster getting through the early boring levels, and more people would get to the good part of the game before quitting.
Read the instructions. With "a" you shoot TREES, which gives you special ammo to kill enemies with. Really, if you don't read the instructions, why do you expect to know how to play?
i will add that thanks for the advice
