To many of the levels were repetitive, even after you had found the solution. Then you had to repeat the pattern (arranging arrows, matching pairs etc.) untill the leve cleared.

Some levels have multiple solutions, and it would appear the game only accepts one of them. That's pretty disappointing.

Buy yourself 2xdamage and 2x gold for magic potions. Thse lasts 4 hours, which is plenty to earn the bagdes.

I spent my starting warbonds on a notorious box, and got an Arrowhead: 26/99, heals 18 when it's attacked, strike all 28. All my matches consists of dropping that whenever I have a chance, and waiting 4 turns cooldown. How is that for a balanced strategy game?

It seems that the lvl. 2 upgrades (wizards and lance knights) costs the same, regardless of which upgrade route you go. So to save money, upgrade barracks -> barbarians -> knights, archers -> circus -> wizard.

Take a look at lvl 80. It seems broken to me. Some of the heart hints are impossible to fullfill. Should some of them be normal eyes?

At hard, I conquered everything in 8 turns, without losing any battles and only 4 ships throughout the campagin. That's simply to easy. The enemy fails even the simplest strategy. They'll routinely ignore ships one hit away from sinking, and fail to board my frigates with galleons (which is a certain win). Concentration of fire is the key to victory, and yet the AI divides fire evenly amongst my fleet. If this game is ever to get any better, this needs to be improved.

I like this game, I enjoy the senseless slaughter and the strategic build-up. However, it's far to unstable to warrant anything higher than 3/5. Far to often the game crashes after a mission, and I'll randomly lose allready purchased upgrades.

It's very realistic. Just as in my real life football experiences, I win more games by staying away and waiting for the other side to make mistakes, than by actually touching the ball.

That's it, I'm out of here. I tried to stay in the game after having earned the sweepstake tickets, but it turned out to be an endless waiting game, interrupted by boring and meaningless quests (consisting of picking whatever option you want, without any real difference).

The second-to-last level suffers from one sad flaw: You have to replay all the waves if you fail. While thatn wasn't that much of an issue on previous levels, since they were max. 3 waves, this one is several waves, and they're long. After having figured out the strategy for the first 4, it sucks having to replay them to try out a plan for the 5th.

Even if you lose, your stats and gold are not forfeit, so you can upgrade. i hope by the time i replied, you got to beat the level. thanks for playing!

I don't mind that the last level is hard. I don't mind that I'm loosing it a couple of times. I do mind that you've taken away my choice. Untill this level, I have had the options of which units to buy, or at least which upgrade-path I wanted to take. At the very last level of the game, you take that away. If you wanted to limit my selection to afew units, you could have started the level with them, and given a few waves of easy monsters. That way, I was still left with an upgrade-option instead of no choice at all.

Developer response from platon_skedow

Well, looks like you are not alone in that. I'll consider making some changes in the last level.

Wow, this version 2 took all the fun from the first game, and killed it. The first one had a set goal, and thus forced you to graduate students. As I see it, this one allows you to just build a team and keep it forever, cruising through the missions. Who cares about graduating from the academy, when you keeping your finest students in house seems the key to success!

For both levels 14 and 15, I used fully upgraded top line (the one with eye and money upgrades), fully upgraded saws, and lightning as high as I could get it. My defenses were one lightning generator in each side (based at the top of the tower), and saws everywhere else. That seup made these levels extremely easy.

For the hard badge, I had the following equipped: military boots, Nano Bots, Fireproof Spray and Uranium Core Bullets. I used Air Support and best weapon. It worked pretty well for me. I could easily have gained more distance than the 2500 I had bothered, but as I was only aiming for the badge, I suicided after that distance.

My strategy for the later levels, which I call 'The Flood': 1) Build as high a mountain as possible with terraforming near your starting position. 2) Once you can't go any higher, build so that the top of that mountain is 3x3 squares. 3) Set a waypoint there. Make your people walk there. 4) Build settlements again. You now have a city at the highest place of the map. 5) Expand your low-laying cities. Continue untill you have 500 mana. 6) Water storm!! Most of the enemies will drown, but some of your people will survive. 7) Repeat water storm if needed. At the two last levels, I had to do 3 untill everything but the mountaintop was drowned.
