It's weird to see so many comments about the difficulty of the final boss, or saying that there isn't any strategy, or that the game is all luck. I mean, of course luck is going to be a factor, but I think the game is actually really forgiving when it comes to that. I usually beat the final boss well before I get all the upgrades (just beat it with Bit with 75%). If you have everything maxed but still have trouble, then either there's some aspect of the strategy you haven't discovered yet, or you just need to get better at match-3 games in general, like looking harder for combos you can do on purpose, rather than just picking a match and hoping the right stuff falls in.
It's a slight bummer that you have to click on the enemy to see how much shields are left. Would be good to have some kind of visual representation like with the health. Actually, why not just have the actual numbers for both health and shields on screen somewhere at all times? Anyhow, it's still probably the best idle game I've ever played (I've played way more than I care to admit.) I like it when the "active" part of an idle game is something other than just clicking really fast until you get carpal tunnel. 4/5
The 2 Buttons mode is great, but I didn't know it existed until I wandered into the settings menu. Maybe put the option on the title screen instead? 1 button is fun, but there are unavoidable "score an own goal or wait for the universe to end" situations. 2 buttons makes the game absolutely perfect, I always feel like it's my fault when I concede a goal, despite how crazy the controls are. 5/5, but let people know about the 2 button mode!!
Wha..... I updated my graphics driver, and now this game looks all crazy. Invisible sled and rider, no mini map, no fullscreen button, solid white sky, no texture on ground, no snow falling, etc etc.
I feel like this game was made specifically to humiliate me by exposing my gaming masochism. It's got to be the stupidest game I've ever become hopelessly engrossed in. It's just a bunch of numbers that keep getting higher and higher. There's pretty much no "game" to speak of. I realize these things, and yet I'm still here, day after day. Somebody please give me an excuse to never play this again. 4/5
It has some great features that set it apart from Geosketch 1 and 2 and whatever that other one was called, but there's also a big problem. Whenever I try a particularly intricate pattern, it just stops partway through even though the pattern is clearly nowhere near finished. It's almost like there's only a certain amount of "ink" it can use before it just conks out. What's the point of allowing the user to increase the draw speed, if designs that would otherwise take a long time to complete are impossible to draw anyway?
I put a limit on how much it can draw because otherwise it's possible to make a drawing that goes on infinitely, which can cause problems. I'm considering adding a way to change it or turn it off in the next version. Also the draw speed doesn't affect the limit. (edit: neither does smoothness)
Regardless of what you think of the amount of grinding required, isn't it too late to change it? If they make the game less grindy now, won't people who paid money to skip the grinding be super pissed?
What's with games that don't let you erase your save and start over? I even went into my cookies, searched for "bloons", and deleted the only Ninjakiwi cookie that came up, and that still didn't do it, so I'm out of ideas. Why can't every game give you a clearly labeled "erase data" button somewhere in the options?
" Hopefully fixed the issue where the game would display incredibly small on some screens" Weird, I never had a problem before, but *now* it's displaying smaller for me. But nice game 4/5 by the way, it really adds a different kind of strategy to usual TD play.
Why is there no way to clear the save and start over? Or did I just fail to find it? I can't even find the cookie to do it that way either, so it's really a problem.
I'm afraid to criticize this game, because your rebuttal might make me look like a fool. Gotta think... is my argument sound?... Ok, here goes. Because humans are flawed, they sometimes click too early during the scenes between debates. Such scenes are an important part of the game's entertainment value. Therefore, it would be nice if there was a short backlog so you could immediately go back and read any accidentally skipped text with a minimum of hassle. If it happens during a debate, you can just ask the same question or use the same challenge again, but no such option exists during the other scenes. And, once the game autosaves, the missing line is gone forever unless you start over from the beginning. So, a backlog would be quite, uh... salubrious.
I dunno... seems like it's just like the Into Space games, except everything is worse. The missile ships in space are kind of neat, but that's the only thing added to the formula that I can see here. Still good for a 3/5
