Too painful to care to replay the entirety of progress for a badge. Without level select or a suicide/restart level button this is not a great game. I like the shift concept still, but it needs the suicide as per other shift games.
Hi!
That sounds like your browser is blocking the data writing in the game. Do you get that when opening the game options and then closing them, and/or when trying to save the game? If it's so, it's crashing when trying to open the actual file for saving the info. It's a very weird issue and I still didn't figure out why it happens, since I think you are the second person that gets it so far.
Proving that people are stupid. 'Oh, I should go get that gold... OOOH! Dirt!'
Not to mention that the dirt spawn suddenly attracts several hundred people.
Still a decent idle game, just a silly little aspect to it!
Unit control is still bad, and the AI if you have auto-move on is as bad as just doing nothing at all on many maps.
1/5 due to that, the rest of the game is decent, but that makes it fairly unplayable.
I'm guessing there is a bug here... because after using each and every option for questioning on the first guy, I ended up with one more thing to challenge, and no matter how often I tried nothing more was given. The challenge for any of the 4 options at this point was wrong, thus I had nothing I could do to get past him. According to a little research, when I press for backing on his 5th statement I should get a new 6th statement, but it never occurs.
I can't help but pity this poor man... he's stuck in a broken world that won't allow him to do what he needs to fix things, and he can't even think well enough to try another tactic. :(
Rockets really do make the game too easy (says as he fires from the start of a map and guides his rocket around corners to find enemies from far enough away they have no clue what is going on.) Outside of that it isn't bad, but once you have them you can just about own every level via wise rocket use.
Ugh. Badge of the day, no thank you. I am sure some people like this game, and I appreciate the silly side of it, but I am just not this into fighters. *Skips badge, swears to bring 84 Bat-Donkeys into the middle of an MMA fight as revenge.*
You find yourself playing some rather pointless guessing games, not empathizing with this, and just trying to get a badge. The badge, however, is just paint on a wall behind a series of rather odd pseudo-psychobabble moments in a short and rather easy journey where the funniest moments are when you look at the situation and irrationally type something like 'Say cheese!'
I find one fault with the game, and that is with the boss. The boss tries to dodge lazer shots if you jump by moving up normally. However, if you jump during the landing to get more hits in, they do not reduce the boss's health bar. This makes no sense. It is a minor irritation, the rest of the game is fine for a quick jaunt.
Easy to finish. Same idea as every other Berzerk upgrade kick style game, aim for the best upgrades (smash>other launcher upgrades and bat boost and swarm... swarm is extremely good at higher levels, simply due to chains of swarm boosts. Max passives when possible.) Game should be an easy finish without max upgrades in any area. Only bother paying attention to the roll attack when going slow, it is a waste of effort at high speeds.
Horizontal speed at launch quickly becomes far more important than vertical speed. You will simply hit more bats and swarms the faster you go horizontally.
The least worthwhile upgrades are your ground cover. Of these the spiky vines is extremely pointless. I don't think I hit one... ever. Not in the entire course of beating the game. Totally useless.
Loaded fine for me. Try a different browser, or see if you have updates pending for flash/browser version/video drivers. Maybe consider adjusting memory permissions.
The rank system is still the only thing about this game which is poorly done.
Since it is massively time based, and not all the levels give the same amount of time, each level has it's own time set. However, the highest ranks are impossible on some levels due to the times that were chosen, and on others are extremely easy.
Otherwise a very solid game!
$40k gun doesn't fire bullets, it is an aoe around the ship.
As an aside, a small area blaster is better than any of the guns pre-made... get about 100 area, 4/sec fire rate, and maximize damage. I settled on 50 energy per shot, as a range where you can easily run 3 guns... and things die fast! *Final damage was 220 without replaying a bunch.*
@ at those having problems when one of your ships is 'sunk': It's not a bug. You have the sunken ship selected. Click one of your other ships to select it, and then you can act.
