@fantasma007: You need five Grand Cottages, then it's a 24 hour construction for the King's Barracks. If you've completed the Barracks, upgrading further is optional, it slightly improves the drops from the Barracks.
@fantasma007: Grand Architect is earned by finishing the King's Barracks building. Mostly a time investment, it took me about two weeks. I don't THINK the currency changes would slow it.

The game got BotD because you can still play it and earn the badges in Offline mode. You're just competing with yourself instead of others. We managed it LAST time it had a BotD in April...
Very fun game! It's nice to play a puzzle game that doesn't require at least one run to a walkthrough for some obscure clue. And my compliments to the composers, the music is great.
Thank you. Yes, I tried hard to make the puzzles all doable if you give them some thought, instead of just having to try things randomly (or having to watch the walktrough), but despite that, the walkthrough has 3000 views. :D
@Buttercup - Yes, it does. If the spirit world gets miffed at you, you get haunted and happiness and profit go down, and the only way to fix it is to give them a LOT of gold. If the spirit world's happy, there's also a chance to get a happiness raising event in the graveyard.
This is adorable! I was worried that it would have a similar punch as Revenge Of Dog, thank you for not doing that. I may have to actually use my Steam account for something other than buying gifts for my brother if this gets completed. 800+ day perfect attendance streak, gone. Two days after I backup my save file, but the bonus restore does not return my attendance trinket. Hope that save file was tasty, computer...
Valmarsun: I don't make walkthroughs. Start Impossible with survivors from a previous game with maxed stats. Get Hospital ASAP, you've got about a week ingame. Get Lab next, start on Vitals, Preservation, Stealth, then Antivenom, between Day 40 and 50 you start getting the chance of someone waking up Zombie. Let the strange scientist in, give an assistant, get Horde data. Convert another building to a Lab to massively increase chance of the Zombie Cure becoming available. Keep food and Happiness up during this. If you're having problems with Happiness consider letting the Church of the Chosen start, though you'll need to be careful to not let your fort go suicide cult. Realize that sometimes the RNG will decide it hates you on a particular playthrough. The game autosaves every end of day. If you lose survivors/too much territory to a zombie attack or lose people on a mission, you can quit back to menu and pick up the autosave to redo your assignments.
J617: You're welcome! I've also completed many times on Impossible, and no, the book isn't NEEDED. But that 10% happiness boost doesn't hurt, so I take it. I let the Church of the Chosen get started to find out what happens, because it's very helpful for a bit while you're learning how to do Impossible, and to say I've gotten all of the endings. To each their own in the game!
J617: You can safely allow the book to be spread. On higher difficulties, it's a much needed happiness boost early on. Say no to the church to avoid the Church of the Chosen from taking hold. If you allow the church, there ARE chances to avoid your fort committing mass suicide (don't give food for the Day of the Dead, don't add the big graveyard to the fort) but there's still the chance that folks will start jumping off the walls even if you take those precautions. There's an event where some of your survivors will come to the leader and ask to ban the Church because holy CRAP they're worshiping zombies. Say yes and you lose the leader of the Church and two other random survivors and the fort is saved, say no and some of your survivors leave in disgust and you're on your way to getting the Church of the Chosen Ones ending to the game.
I just love the zombie upgrade games where civilization's all but collapsed and we need to get a tricked out whatever to escape, but don't let the fact that every body shop you find is abandoned stop you from paying. We're *honest* apocalypse survivors, here!
@back: I was having trouble with Number One Threat until I remembered how White Runners worked. Added Merci, and yep, Deflect Evil counts the Col-Bears. Agreed that spawn speed and Act of Congress are both VERY helpful. It was a bit of a headache getting the crusaders to high enough levels, but once you do (I got the needed funds by shutting down, going to bed, and letting the offline stuff do the work) it isn't that bad.
