A player should be able to start survival at the level they choose if they've already beaten it. I don't always want to just start back at the last checkpoint I hit.
Pretty sure I have more than 15 hearts. I'm on level 10 and have gotten 3 hearts on more than half of the levels. I've gotten at least one or two on all of them. I can't seem to get Tobi's bonus level to unlock though.
Not at all. I think it's entirely possible that with several playthroughs of the game, the compounding benefits could stack up quite substantially. I don't think he's cheating. I think he's played the game a lot.
I've beaten the size challenge, and I'm now well passed it. I have the carpentry perk. But in my portal, there's an option to do the size challenge again. As far as I can tell, this option exists, but there's no benefit to completing it again. Does anyone know something I don't?
It might be cool if beating a challenge again offered some enhancement to that challenge (like permanently adding a few levels to it, lowering the helium cost of that perk, or something along those lines).
Oh, and carpentry will really help when you flat out don't have enough trimps to get that next level of Coordination. For me this historically happens around level 35. I simply do not have enough trimps to level up coordination again, and the costs of the buildings is so high, and they contribute so few trimps, that this is where I typically hit the wall and can proceed no further (without it taking days). With carpentry, we should be able to get to wherever our relative walls are, and blow past them, because we now have enough trimps for several more coordination upgrades.
dgtdgt, yes, carpentry is one of the most useful perks. Motivation should not be overlooked however, because ultimately you'll need fragments to continue to advance, and the only way to get more fragments is with motivation. But yes, carpentry kicks butt. With 5 ranks in carpentry you're getting 16.1 trimps for every 10 you were supposed to get originally, so your estimate of a 70% increase isn't far off. But no, it does not apply to map squares that provide more trimps. Those are altered through another perk.
Hamidboy, you must still be in a pretty low zone. 1k traps is what you will spend in under 2 combats at zone 35. Also, I don't think most of us have ever had "nothing" to spend our resources on. I think that as you progress you're going to find that the problem is not that you have nothing to spend the resources on, but rather that the price for the next purchase is so damned high you're going to be waiting literal days for that one upgrade unless you portal and go back to the beginning.
Jogger, I'd echo what LucV3 said. If you click export and then copy the text string, that's your save data. You can post it anywhere or send it to yourself in an email, and then can access it from anywhere.
Another great update, and it came rapidly. Your dedication is appreciated by the players. The gymystic upgrade is also very helpful and fun! The updates are so good and coming so fast, that they're almost coming faster than I (a relatively new player) can barely keep up with them. That's commendable and exemplary. You're doing a great job with this game!
Cornoth, the reason to upgrade the weapons in this case is because while you are putting resources into your Z4 greatsword, it won't be able to keep up as you continue to rise in zones. The damage it will do will become so small compared to the enemies that it's ridiculous. Meanwhile, all the resources you're putting into it will eventually be lost completely when you finally do upgrade the greatsword. That's why most of us try to keep our upgrades maxed, but with only a level or two in each one of them.
I've got to say that this is by far the best idle game out there, and I really love all the enhancements you've been making. The timeline showing how long until our storage areas fills up is exceptionally handy. Thank you very much!
