Go out mining, head back to base when half of your energy is remaining. Buy upgrades. Mine copper until you can reach silver, and then gold. Then when you are ready, buy lots of Energy Bars, then head straight away from the Base without doing any mining. Cross the snows, then the green mountains. When you descend from the green mountains you will reach the whiteness at the edge of the map, run over the edge and you win.
Nice little game. Don't obscure the pictures with the Score and Correct/Mistakes boxes. Make the window and pictures larger. If Time is disabled in one picture, it should stay disabled for the next picture. The last difference in the last picture is too subtle.
These "terrain" type maps can be finished in 10-20 minutes, even if you are playing to conquer the whole map before finishing. It is rare to hit the 60-minute mark when Survival Mode kicks in. Since Blasters and most other weapons can be MOVED, you don't need to build a ton of them. Build a few, then move them forward as you take more territory.
Galactic Clicker is a worthy successor to Adventure Capitalist. It has the same game play as AdCap but is better because it has a fast non-cartoonish interface, it has no in-game purchases, and it can be finished in a few satisfying days. Five stars.
Version 1.3, while well-executed (yay!), disappoints (heresy!). We received much-needed Upgrades, but the goal-posts have been moved as well. We now face the Sisyphean task of accumulating billions nay, trillions, of Angels to complete the game. My enthusiasm, gravely wounded, wanes. All These Lemonade Stands Are Yours.
Harshguy, the Export feature works fine on Windows (Export, switch to Notepad, Paste, see a big block of text representing your saved game state) so you might be experiencing a Windows/Ubuntu difference. The text is coded with Base64 and can be decoded and viewed using a site like base64decode.org
Yup, the game Import/Export data is in Base64 format. You can decode it to text and view your entire game state (Total Cash, Angels, Upgrades purchased, etc.). Could you change your settings, recode, and import? Dunno, haven't tried it. If that's a check-sum at the bottom of the settings, and the game is checking it, then probably not. Besides, that would spoil the fun.
Until the planned end-game is added, all-400 seems to me like a good place to pause. By then you have all the Upgrades and after 500-oil no significant way to boost your income besides Angel resets and it's a long grind to 500-everything else.
When you return to the game, it pauses for a bit, while it calculates how much money you made while you were away. This is normal. But if it takes way too long, this is the bug affecting early players. What worked for me was to un-install and re-install the Unity player. This is easy to do (google it), and it worked like a charm.
After the flawed upgrade, I could no longer play because the Unity player was crashing. This is what worked for me. Un-install the Unity player (google for the instructions). Refresh the game page, follow the prompt to re-install the Unity player. Presto, the game works again. Hope this helps.
Oh man! Sorry you had to take such extreme measures to fix your game! We're working on a fix for the crashing issue right now. Extremely sorry for the inconvenience!
You should never lose a colonist to combat. Keep colonists away from the enemy in the first place by explicitly marking the Mineral piles to be mined first (i.e. far from the enemy). Upgrade the Living Quarters with a Medical Bay so injured colonists have somewhere to go to heal. If a colonist is in battle, slow down the game (F key) and monitor the colonist. If they get injured, use your Tractor Beam to pick the colonist up, then drop them near the Medical Bay. If a battle is occurring near a Personal Module, upgrade it to a Barracks so it can help fire on the enemy.
Fun game! After you conquer the last town, the Ghost Ship will appear sailing on the ocean map. For the final battle, use three Ships Of The Line, each with fully upgraded Hull and Damage. Use your achievement stars to maximize the ship statistics for battle, i.e. Damage 100%, Action Points 100%, Accuracy 100%, Hull 100%, Cargo 0%. Start the battle with sufficient money to use Dynamite ($5000 for 3X damage) on every shot. Make full use of each ship's AP, using a mixture of Aim Hull (20 AP) and Quick (15 AP) shots. You may lose one of your ships, but you will defeat the Ghost Ship and win the game.
For the Master Developer achievement, upgrade any 10 booths to level 3. For example, if you have five level-3 Drug Stores and five level-3 Book Stores, you will get the achievement. Upgraded Booths make more money AND detect Thieves much better. If you read this strategy guide you will never lose, http://sunrisecodeworks.com/StrategyShopEmpire.html
SuperShocker, on the world map a triangle with the zombie face and the arrow indicates that zombies from an uncontrolled area are attacking one of your adjacent areas. Defend that area using Tower Defense; the more attacking zombies that you fail to stop, the more the danger in your area increases. For this reason, after capturing an area's tower, you should immediately upgrade the tower (with a machine gun) for better defense.
Curbstomp, the 7 main areas are Northwest, West, North, Central, South, East, and Southeast. Within each area there are 4 territories: Recon, Clean-Up, Tower, and Factory (except Northwest). The 2 outside areas are Outside North and Outside South. This map is very helpful: http://www.flyanvil.com/decision2satellite.html
Curbstomp, there are 7 main areas and 2 outside areas. The Outside North area is activated by a portal (beyond the line of crates) in Central's Tower-capture territory. The Outside South area is activated by a portal in South's Clean-up territory. Be aware that once activated, an Outside area will hassle you for the remainder of the game.
If you are trying for the "All 40 ATMs" achievement, and you inadvertently destroy an ATM before hacking it, all is not lost. Allow yourself to die, then Try Again the territory. The unhacked ATM will be repaired ("respawned"). There are 38 ATMs in the main areas, and 2 ATMs in the Outside South area which is activated by discovering the portal in the South Cleanup territory.
