@Randi It looks like some people are having issues with some of these games. It works for me on Chrome. The only one that didn't work for me is Big fort escape 8, which doesn't even load.
@gameland, it definitely seems to be a game to me, you just need to click through the ads at the beginning.. Just completed it. Most / all of the escape games are also on Kongregate, under this game account.
I get why you see that as a problem, but if people do that, they just ruin their gameplay experience. Maybe I'll implement that in my next game and thanks for the feedback! :)
Oh heck... did I just lose my save game? I'd saved progress at the blue crystal in town after getting a short way in to dungeon 2, but I only have the option to start a new game when I refreshed today.
lol, I lost my saves twice because of the save bug, but at least that only set me back a few hours each time. I've now just gone from a maximum level of ~472 (I think it was) back to the start of the game with all my progress lost!
Really buggy (particularly things that can leave dialog boxes up, although that can be fixed with a page refresh), but still makes a change from all the idle games.
The difficulty seems a bit strange, unless I've just missed something. The first shot on a level seems the most dangerous, as you're left with a live person who can chase you. Every other shot is a lot safer.
The actions required to get the "2" scroll are not at all intuitive and required quite a bit of random clicking for me, which I didn't enjoy. Other than that, it was pretty good.
Played yesterday. Re-opened the game today and it looks like the map has shifted to show a different set of hexes. I still have a few of my buildings on the hexes that are from my original map, but almost everything has been lost and I now have a massive deficit in resources. That's it for me, I quit.
Definitely seems like some more advanced levels could be added -- I enjoyed the mechanics but needed more challenge (and more levels in general, of course). Most of the levels had the same basic solution just with a different layout.
Completed on my 2nd go (although I have played a lot of roguelikes in the past). Did pretty badly with the rangers on my first go, completed with the warrior. I had bad luck finding any melee weapons until pretty late in the game, only found gloves and shoes (not much use) right near the end and never found a helmet, but I may have been very lucky to get a greater staff of fire and a vampiric ring. The ring was very important for my survival.
I don't really get the people who say this one requires such precision. Seems fine to me. Getting the timing right for the dash to make your jump the right height is what sets the skill level. e.g. on the last level, you need to be at the top of your jump before you dash to get the height. It's really easy if you do that -- jump up beside the wall, dash against the wall at the top of your jump and then move in the direction you need to go. You get a lot more height than you need so have a big safety margin.
I really enjoy this style of game, but once you get the bosses to 40 hp, you've basically hit end game, and it just gets easier and easier, as you get stronger and the opponents don't. Getting a high score is just a case of how much time you have, at this point. I had to go out of my way to kill myself, as the browser had started to slow down and I was worried it was going to crash and I'd lose the gold/crystals! No problems with local save here, btw. (perhaps it has now been fixed)
