fkkindonk: Level 7 challenge is pretty straightforward, got it on my second go, and just did it again to make sure it wasn't luck. I assume that you've already done it if that's all you're missing, but make sure that your warriors and mage are upgraded too. I didn't bother aiming my mage at all, just focussed on the ball and getting good positions to take out as many units in a line as possible. Each time you click, the ball slows down, so just click where you want to go once and it will get there faster.
Enjoyable game. The first "outside the box" puzzle took me a while to work out! The only disappointment for me was the last level which seemed to reuse a few of the ideas of previous puzzles. I would have liked to have seen the last hint as well, to try and power up the last computer!
Played really badly on my computer, Winter Games level 20 took so long due to all the random pauses and jerkiness. Other people don't seem to have this issue, so I'm not including that in my rating. Maybe it's Pepper Flash in Chrome.
Spent my 50 remaining crystals after killing Death the first time and killed him before he got to shoot in his first form and before the screen scrolled to his head in the second :) Wish I'd spent them earlier! I was just spending cash and saving crystals for when I got stuck, so only spent 6.
Haha, as there was a lot more levels still to go when I first saw death, I thought I would see him again later, so I saved my crystals -- only spent 6 total and ended with loads left when I killed him. I thought that I was finding him tricky!
Great game. The general winning tactic for most levels seemed to be anti-infantry at the front and anti-tank at the back. Anti-tank seemed to die very easily to infantry, so it was best to kill it off first then pick off the vehicles later. Pretend mortars don't exist.
I had no luck with Greg's tactics for the last level on "hard". I went with separate anti-infantry and anti-tank. I had to sell a couple of nodes from the top right side on the wave with pickups coming from the bottom and left so that I could upgrade my bottom and left nodes, then at the start of wave 8 I replaced almost all my anti-infantry with anti-tank -- if you put anti-tank towards the front as well, then the enemy vehicles that drop infantry don't get to drop, so there is no enemy infantry. 3 gold stars, no problem, 22/22 guard points.
Fun game. I would prefer it if disabling "AUTO" didn't have the disadvantage that you can only attack at the beginning of your turn though. e.g. if I manage to fully charge one of my units, the enemy can attack before I get a chance to use it. This doesn't appear to be the case with AUTO enabled, where it attacks straight after it's charged.
Far too easy, unfortunately. I just went for mana regen, thunder turrets and dragons, skipping everything else. After about a minute of play, everything is maxed out and my dragon queue is almost full. From then on it's just waiting idly. There isn't any disadvantage to the top tier units (other than their cost). I'd recommend a reason to use some of the lower level units, e.g. perhaps have dragons weak against particular enemy units.
Fun game, although after capturing Trolls, I wish they wouldn't pick up barrels and throw them in to the middle of my groups even when there are no enemies left on the level! I just lost another 4 civilians like that.
Completed on first go. Focus on survival and not being spotted chances for the Search group. I finished the game with 60% 85% 73%, focussing mainly on melee. I only lost a single survivor in the game, never had my barricades damaged (thanks partly to my full shooters group). I had all weapons by day 31 and full morale, so stopped searching at that point, as I didn't want to lose morale. I ended with 24 survivors, 7 in the cooking group :) My melee team wasn't very good (67%), but they weren't really needed.
Ran very badly in Chrome, where the jerkiness caused collision detection problems as the giraffe fell through the floors, making it impossible to play. Switched to Firefox and it ran a lot smoother and was much more playable.
I think the collision detection may be tied in to the framerate, as this game is quite jerky on my computer (with Chrome) and I regularly dive straight through platforms rather than landing on them, which makes it unplayable.
Yay for the lag! Put it up to high quality and zoom the screen to put it in to "slo-mo mode", which helps a bit with the insane endless. Bost of the bosses are pretty straightforward, although I found the "psychic alien" to occasionally fire lasers that I couldn't avoid and I occasionally got trapped by bombs/lasers when the big tank went in to overdrive and dropped loads of bombs at once. I can do all the other bosses without ever getting hit.
Phew. Great game. A big jump in difficulty at level 70 (partly due to the apparently useless area that just spins your shots), but then it gets easier from there to level 74. I loved the powerup with the 4 arms, great effect. I enjoed the way that you could get so many powerups and areas that you dominated the level as well (the main reason that the last few levels were actually fairly easy, if you could get a couple of reasonable areas/powerups after killing the first few circles).
Pretty jerky for me on my computer with Chrome, but still a good game. Because of the jerkiness, I didn't invest much in to sword lore, except for the combo, as the moves were too difficult to use. I got the 1000 kills in survival using the demon mask -- it becomes very useful near the end against the very strong enemies.
I don't mind grind games, but unfortunately this one didn't seem to require much skill. The vehicles seemed to level themselves most of the time and there didn't seem to be any thought required until boost is purchased.
