I am having a similar problem. I wanted to start a new game, but at the main menu, only New Game, How to Play, and More Games light up when I hover over them, and only the latter two actually work.
I agree that this game does cause an unreasonable amount of lag. I have a $1200 gaming computer, and four Lasers slows the game to a crawl. I also think that the Laser is overpowered anyway. So, at least for the Lasers, decreasing their rate of fire a little bit will probably help with both of those issues. There are some glitches, too. When I de-leveled from being hit, I was returned to a seemingly random tank which I had made long before, rather than the immediately previous one. This may have been due to the fact that I didn't bother to change the creator's/tank's name when saving. Finally, the Apocalypse Cannon broke the game, 'cause when I used it, all my weapon recharge bars vanished, and then I de-leveled (because my tank had to be so damn big for the cannon, it was monstrously slow), and the bars returned, but with the second (that of the cannon) being a long white bar to the left of the recharge bar, kind of like this: |||||||||[ ].
Hurricane Lv. 1 says it costs 20 SP, and I used it once while I had max SP of 42, and then it depleted my bar by more than half and I didn't have enough SP to use it again. Unless something arbitrarily sapped my SP, I was at full before I used it the first time. Also, why don't the potions describe what they do?
When using keyboard controls, sometimes hitting notes at the end of the current section (top or bottom) causes you to get poor marks on the first notes of the next section, since the timer bar exists on both the top and bottom parts at the same time, and pressing a key registers a hit in both areas. It's a bit tough to explain, but play Nao Paradigm on easy keyboard and you should see what I mean. It becomes impossible (as far as I can tell) to get 100%.
Well, I just finished the Holy Campaign, and I noticed something rather important... I never encountered a single enemy that was capable of inflicting a status effect on me... So what's the point of Greater Heal...?
Dear god, so many spelling errors... And I agree that the voice acting is quite terrible. Do the enemies in the Training Ground ever change? I mean seriously, I'm in the third tier and they're exactly the same as the first time I went there... Also, this game is quite miserably repetitive. It's a decent game, but I would hardly condone giving it a 5 out of 5...
"Bleed: The enemy takes damage equal to 5% of its maximum health per turn for three turns." I made a Mind Flayer bleed, and he took 2 damage per turn. His max health was 20, and 0.05 x 20 = 1, quite precisely...
OH MY GAWD! You used the Medallion of Fire from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as the icon for the Threat Orb!...Okay now it's definitely lazy, but still epic...
Huge problem: I failed at a Defense Quest three times (specifically the one with the well-dressed thieves), and I still received the reward (Top Hat) three times. I have yet to actually beat it...
Um, if I have a 95% chance to hit, that would mean that there would be five possible die rolls that would cause me to miss, right? So why do I miss when I roll a 95? 96, 97, 98, 99, 100... And I have rolled 100, so... It seems to me that I should hit on a 95...
OH MY GAWD! You used the Medallion of Light from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as the icon for the Treasure Orb!... Not sure if that's awesome, lazy, or copyright...
