Came back to play all these years later. Good game. Hot tip for the 64th dot (and maybe others): It seems like you can fly longer if you take a couple of steps before you take off.
Woah! I'm very surprised I made it through the whole thing, but I did. I am not at all coordinated, especially with left hand movement/mouse firing combination. Some things I feel I accomplished through pure luck, but most of it is pretty clever and you have to think a bit about how to approach it. Fun game. I'll bookmark it and probably play again after a while.
Ok, that was super fun! Challenging, but not to the point of rage quitting. I put it down and picked it up again over the course of several days, but it was just the right level of challenging that made me want to come back again. Great work!
Entertaining. I have to agree - the music is awesome and was probably responsible for me hanging in with it. I collected a lot of things and still have no idea what they were for. Two guns? Not sure what that was about. So, for a game where I basically wandered around aimlessly, I was kind of impressed that I managed to get to the end. Maybe add some dialogue about the things we're picking up so we know what our goal is? Anything to make it less aimless wandering. Still, a fun game.
Whoo, boy, the right hand side of "Being Watched" (BW) (and whatever the room above it is called) in "TheMazerunner" by Megaomikron has to be impossible. You have to make a very precise jump out of BW to get to the room above, where there's a ledge with two saws and three orange monsters. You can't walk right or you'll run into a saw. The three orange monsters are moving very quickly on a very short vertical track above you. It seems maybe you're supposed to jump outward and maybe land on the leftmost one's head(?) but that means, guess what, if you miss, you're back in BW, trying a dozen times to get back up on that platform above. A few times, I was able to land on the ledge without dying, but I can’t figure out how to advance from there. Honestly, I know I'm kind of a whiner about tricky stuff, but if there's a way to complete that jump, I'd love to know how to do it.
I also echo the sentiments about checkpoints. Maybe one per level. Doesn't need to be too many. But the fun is in solving the puzzle, and once you've solved that you run here, go this way, drag this box this way, etc., going through those mechanics over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (well, you get the point)... it's boring, frankly. What will make me stay with the game is the opportunity to solve the puzzle, not work on my box-dragging mechanics.
Otherwise, a really very good game. I will likely favorite and give it 4/5 stars. Add checkpoints, it's a solid 5.
Needs a LOT of fine tuning. Shift to jump, for anyone who might try to play this. Also, apparently, don't touch the grass or anything green, except where you need to touch the grass or something green. We're supposed to guess? Ugh, not worth the time.
Really fun, good music. I also wish there were checkpoints, but it's somewhat bearable. I managed to finish. One thing that would raise my rating: THE TITS HAVE TO GO! Totally ridiculous and makes me lose respect for you as a developer. Do you believe your game isn't good, so you have to throw in some over-the-top sexualization? Bad decision in an otherwise good game.
Certainty of Death is f**king ridiculous. The mechanics are way too narrow (e.g., if you jump on this pixel, you're not high enough but if you jump on this one you are), and the fact that there's no checkpoint after the monster wall seems contrary to the friendliness of the other levels where, after making you do a particularly challenging part, there's a checkpoint so you don't have to give yourself carpal tunnel to complete the level. Challenging is awesome, but please don't make me redo a section that already took 5000 tries to complete. That's a recipe for not playing any more. Don't know if I'll complete the game or not. Except for this slap in the face at the end, it's a great game.
There seems to be an alarming number of levels that have spots where the player can't advance. I even tried Pykrete's brilliant suggestion of respawning in the new room, but in the "special" levels, that doesn't seem to work. Almost like WixGames didn't play these at all before posting/selecting. Disappointing to get to a hard-fought room and not be able to finish.
It was a good enough game to come back to. Not sure if you made improvements, but I was finally able to finish the game. Still a bit tricky with controls in some places, and I still really wish there were checkpoints, but overall, a good game. 4/5 (changed from 2/5)
The platforms have gone glitchy. If you're standing on one when it starts moving, it kills you or shoves you off of the platform. Not sure what happened. I hope you'll fix it... I like coming back to this game.
"Tour by Sebastien" has the same issue as "The Mountain by Maxniedo." I've gotten through The Bomb room, but can't jump high enough to get to the platform on the next screen. Big bummer because it took a while to get to that point!
Thanks for the feedback. It was interesting to read. Glad that you liked the game :)
