Not at all my sort of game but the overall sounds, music, and 8 bit graphics are just perfect. gave it a 5/5 just to help balance the people confused by the egg!
Collecting cash makes this a swirly mouse fest really. Interesting idea but the game play is kinda flat in that spam cheap planes til you get a decent amount of cash to add the more expensive. The overall finish of the game is really nice though and the music is fitting. 3.5/5 here
The battle to kill that silly hydra/dragon on epic took me over an hour of constant see sawing of HP. My mistake for wearing a newly upgraded gas mask on matt as dark ended up with a 7 poison rating before I noticed the hat was tossing gas as a random grr.... 12.5k hp a tic healed but that only added another 10 or so mins as I was wearing the 100% dark death doom outfits. mast have been poisoned by that thing 50 + times, it was just about all lance was doing to cure it. 5 or so coffee as those 13k hits were ugly, untold numbers of ice cream tossed at nat and one slice of pizza as I was too tired to figure out how to heal two people in the same round hehe. rune blade is simply awesome with legend and wind strike.
was expecting another dress up game game/throwaway but this one actually looks nice! 5/5 just for the unexpected quality, back to manly men crappy td games!
For cosmic monolith (total pita on epic) maxing out the following equip will get you 100% resist to dark death and doom (80% dark for lance). matt: mage hat, ninja cloak, rune blade.. spam legend for your mana back! Nat: pope hat, pope dress, sentinel.. 100% syphon resist, regen and thunder Lance: officer hat, officer coat, godhand: focus on buffing/debuffing first, bombs later. you need to buff accuracy or debuff evade on monolith for the other two to hit it
+ for Boffo on account he "rtfm" on how to mute the game music without failing around asking for help (right click menu people)! Epic first go, lets hope Boffo gets his rear handed to him!
looks nice and all but there's zero balance. Hardest part about any TD game is to balance the waves so that it's possible to beat it. Issue with these fixed path games is that there's very few options that the player can vary in order to truly do better.
You know it's going to be a winner when the description is grievously missing a vowel, which in turn is evidently vindicated by overzealous use of capitalization. Vote +1 if you think this comment is far too pedantic to be seen anywhere near Kong.
really only thing missing is the button to start spamming as that seems to be defence number 4 just past using chat filter abuse to cal your momma a whatever. game seems to need a boot to raise it substantially about average 3.50 generic button games... 5/5
wow the opening screen's music is pure pwnage... seriously the music alone makes a boffo not even want to play the game for fear of losing the music.... 5/5!!!! oh wait it doesn't loop? 4/5!
For those curious where to spend cash.. be sure to max out the castle upgrade: guilds as that give more cash per farm. The 4 heroes (mage sucks) are all worth maxing as some missions work well with different heroes. shield spell is a must as is max mana in order to spam shield(better than stop time). Top 3 units imo are were tigers, amazons and phantom swordsmen; all three are fast and hit hard. Kinda need the sky dragon for one mission so max that too for the one titan you pick, otherwise the boss units spawn too slow to be much use. Goblins are great for spam guard.. build one and tell it to charge alone ahead and the rest will auto charge, stalling incoming enemies if you want to build mana (for shield spam). Pretty boring grind fest of a game, definite downgrade from earlier epic wars.
bug wise, I see scouting reports showing [flying] [flying] Waves. Also, on the hero select screen when starting a quest, the scouting report's (thanks for adding that) colors are super dark/muted; hard to tell what each wave is.
When you have decent across the board faction(get it from doing the story line) nd have some gold to spare, hire all the crappy heroes hogging the camp then fire them. You'll start getting 300+gold heroes coming to camp that start off with much better skills once per quest so long as there's a slot in camp. You can then use scrolls to turn them into whatever Element you want and give them whichever units. Highly recommend looking at the 'Wizard' base unit from the council. 3 range 10 damage 5 speed skill paths are slow, damage, element exploit. Wish I could find a 3 range elite caster with debuff.
As shassa said (please + their post so it shows up top), for forgotten cavern, fire in back energy in front even before the flying energy absorber shows up. I used the bog standard footman (moderately leveled) and never promoted them once. I also replaced the worthless knight for a tribal crossbow for the flying mid boss. Flying and final bossess are pretty effing weak compared to the wave next to last.
