Skippie: the drawer doesn't use a 4 symbol combination. The combination is much longer than that, is randomized every time, and uses some symbols more than once, and sometimes doesn't use a particular symbol. The game provides a few hints, but it took me quite a while to figure it out as well.
Avelia, do you have your computer set to delete your cookies as soon as you close the internet? If so, that's why you are losing your progress. If not, someone else (if others use your computer) might be deleting your cookies, and deleting your progress as a result.
no issues with the game for me. moiz, you might have to update your flash player or your browser, or if neither seems to be the case, maybe clear your cache. I would say clear your cookies, since that generally helps, but that would delete your progress...
Pretty decent game, but the controls feel a bit slippery. The pig seems to maintain its momentum even when you let go of left or right, and if timed correctly, it will continue to move forward if you jump the moment you hit the ground. This momentum sometimes causes me to fall off a platform and become unable to jump when I would want to.
I don't particularly like these kinds of controls, and although I expected to use Up for jumping, I'm used to otherwise. Nice and simple game otherwise, with its diverse power-ups giving a variety of levels and gimmicks. Currently on level 31, where the slippery controls are a lot more noticeable and leading to many deaths (especially when ice physics are added).
Other than the slippery controls, I'd rate this a 3.5 out of 5, rounded up to 4. A charming, short game that only suffers a bit from the controls (in my opinion), but otherwise enjoyable.
Despite it being PvP, it's not actually PvP. It's just the normal AI working with a player's deck, and since it is AI and not another player, the AI won't know how to play the deck the same way the player does (the AI tends to do questionable things quite a lot of the time with certain decks).
That being said, yeah, it may seem unfair, but it's all luck-based for what deck the AI chooses from the entire set of player decks
Found a bug. When you click any one of the 3 abilities that requires ideas to be used, the game puts a randomizer on the screen of every card, lasting infinitely (as far as I know) and preventing the player from interacting with the screen. I did test (and reset) all 3 individual abilities at 0 ideas, and got the same result every time.
Found the value. 885 was my length when it happened: the glitchy screen flickering between what rabbits were on screen, and being unable to differentiate between where I had gone and what was no longer there. Probably didn't help that there were a large number of rabbits on the screen as well if you happen to survive for that long.
The arrow keys do work; it's a large area with nothing to indicate movement at all. The exit can be anywhere for quite a distance, and reaching it ends the game. However, the timer is still going after you win; the game over screen can overlap with the win screen which makes it weird to look at.
it feels repetitive to continuously press spacebar and retype the code for the furthest you have gone. Sometimes it feels like it's better to start over and generate the cash you earn and try to have a low evil status before entering those newer levels. At least, that's what it feels like to me.
I'm seeing all these comments on how hard the game was, but I thought it was pretty easy. Did I luck out, or did no one notice the 3 abilities that your character has (one of which was redraw, which empties your hand and refills them with different cards)? Did it with 1 life, no continues. Going to play again to get the other achievements. Most of my gameplay involved using the redraw ability to get 80+ back to back moves before ending a turn. It's all about Ideas management. Loved the game by the way.
I do agree, the gameplay is boring. When you start out, it is tedious finding the end of the level, but once you've progressed far enough, maybe 5-10 minutes in, it stops being tedious and starts being boring and predictable. The graphics seem to be basic. I understand that this was made in 10 days or less, but the content seems to be... lackluster, but that's just my opinion.
nothing to do other than searching for the next level. Once you max out the upgrades, which doesn't take that long (vision is expensive for a reason after all), you start to notice some things. Levels are re-used, sometimes being the same one back to back with the level you are currently on. I think there might be 6 or 7 unique maps total, maybe a bit more.
the inability to change momentum mid-air (and have the jump be momentum-based)... while realistic, makes one section painful to complete, and you have to complete it twice (the parking lot). Otherwise a good game, would like to see a complete version after the competition ends.
also, a suggestion after GiTD ends: have the score be based on number of rabbits eaten multiplied by a speed multiplier that is given when you make a choice between the different speeds: x1 for slow, x2 for medium, and x3 for fast (to make it simple).
hmm... once you are large enough, the game seems to glitch out, preventing me from seeing where is my actual tail from what has disappeared, and the same with the rabbits. Can be quite disorientating with the constant blinking. Otherwise, like gordonyang said, a "Nice refreshment on a classic."
One thing to note: if you die upside down on the final level, you stay upside down until you die facing the right way again, which is quite difficult when the controls feel reversed and you have to stay that way until the final part (at which point if you do get that far with that way, might as well finish the job, but good luck playing that way).
pretty good game. I didn't find much use for the grav-lock ability though. Hurt more to use it than not to for me. I was able to survive on just the basic movement alone.
Thank you for reporting, i am still waiting till the event is over, so I can fix it once and for all.
