Wait this doesn't have a save setting? Seems kind of like a dickmove to add an achievement for a decent length game... (if you say no, it's just a preview, then it shouldn't have badges at all)
Okay, on my second load everything wasn't massively off-center (and it moves as I move) thankfully. Seems good so far, it feels like I'm seeing a lot of roguelikes these days :D
I do wish builders leveled up faster, I've gotten down half the city and I've had one builder the whole time, and it takes 4 days to claim one structure in which she gains 0-.5 building ability >_>
I always find it funny how unwilling people are to join your large, well-defended, well-fed encampment surrounded by gigantic barbed-wire fences in a zombie invasion if you don't send over somebody who has a name-tag saying "Hello, my name is Leader".
Nice atmosphere and I like the twist on the classic tale thus far. I didn't really have a problem finding things until I found out I had to click things in the back-ground then I didn't really know what to do. Pretty good, I await the sequel.
In the hope the developer isn't sick of constructive criticism yet: It would be nice if enemies couldn't hide behind my life-bar and the like. Also, hitting the enemies is a chore sometimes (exacerbated by the problems mentioned before, where you need 3 hands to function well) because the attack is so narrow (I often hit the enemy dead in the arm and he doesn't react) and the enemies act like they're on ice-skates with how they move.
use the ice skates to your advantage! they can't turn fast enough, making it VERY easy to avoid them. the health bar's placement was lousy, i'll think it through next time.
I think the best way to do it, would be first to allow us to assign our own keys (that always helps) and second to cause the spell-selection keys to simply select it and then we can use it at will with the left click. In games where you use W,A,S,D to move and the mouse to aim, W,A,S,D is always better.
The number keys seemed okay at first, but when I'm trying really hard to manuever to keep their attention from the wall but stay alive and aim correctly with spells that don't aim well I end up using the wrong spell and it's a struggle...
What's with the infinite alarm? I knocked out the mini-boss but I'm out of crossbow bolts... so now I am being forced to kill everyone? I like this game but I keep findings what have to be mistakes...
@Superback: We're supposed to figure out a way to take care of it without killing in that situation. The cattle prod, the crossbow and the ability impact landing can all knock enemies out without killing them. You can kill robots (not counting mechs for some reason) and still get the pacifist achievement and you still want to be careful of mines, because it can kill nearby enemies.
