It's like Weapon but without any of the fun. I can understand the attempt to make it more realistic, but in doing so, it's been stripped of enjoyment. It's definitely more challenging, but the slow-moving bullets, no auto-reload, guys hiding behind exploded trucks (hard to see to begin wtih), very difficult to shoot UAVs, etc. just kinda... I dunno, I'd rather go play Weapon personally, or even Elona Shooter or Storm The House series, personally. I can appreciate the effort though. 3/5
Not a terrible remake on the genre, reminds me a lot of Crimsonland but without the variety of creatures, weapons, and perks, but a lot more free as well, heh. 4/5
Great game for a simple time-waster. Plenty of potential for a part 2 with more units, waves, and upgrades. Lots more upgrades. Kinda spread them out a bit maybe. Definitely a good foundation for more. 4/5
The more I play this game, the lower my score for it gets. I'm down to 2/5 so far. On level 12 now. I think by the time I'm done I'll have ranked it a -4/5. Not a -5 'cause I'm just too nice. But seriously, was level 12 designed just to piss people off about the kludgy controls even more? You start with one guy and get ambushed and the only thing that might save you is getting lucky with the "evolving". There's no fun, just pure luck.
You know what would be awesome? Is if the "Need a Hint" link actually went to a walkthrough for the game we're playing, as opposed to... you know, NOT the game we're playing. The "Need a Hint" button links to Liquid Measure 2, sans the Dark Fluid Levels. Not helpful here. :(
Is it just me or are bosses ridiculously stupidly hard? My towers sit there easily wiping out level after level and then the boss shows up and makes it to the end barely even touched.
Currently rated 3.57... that sounds about right. Generic Tower Defense game is Generic and a Tower Defense game. I wish people would actually play other TD games before making theirs. So many missing features. 3/5
More clues on how to get out at the end would be awesome. The map is utterly useless. Over all a pretty good game, I like the music, and I like the puzzle-action concept. The tiny rooms really hurt the eyes though. I was prepared to give it a 5/5 until I got to the end and had to escape... at which point it loses a point to, "Wait, what? So where the hell do I go?" So... 4/5 is fairly deserving I think.
There is a restart button, lower right hand corner. What I'd like is a button to get back to the main menu. Otherwise, great game. All the way up to level 13 I think it is. At least I assume it's 13... I haven't been counting and there's no indicator on the level itself. However, it seems to be nigh-impossible. It's the one with the ship with 3 lightning bases and 5 enemy flyers who all start with more troops than your measly 4 flyer bases. It really, REALLY sucks. I mean beyond challenging and into the, "This really isn't fun anymore..." realm. Overall I had fun up until this point though, a nice take on this genre. 4/5
Way to get further: every time you land in a cannon, wait until your energy is fully recharged before firing. There's no penalty for waiting and it doesn't auto-fire if you don't fire within a certain time. Got me to 100K that way. :)
Seriously? 3.89/5? Who's giving it 5? It's missing several of the key components to a good TD, things that anyone who's played a few of them will find lacking here. Just from playing the first round I can offer these suggestions: 1) tower descriptions - Very basic, very essential. What does a tower do? A mouse-over popup would be cool. 2) Drop tower w/o buying - Spacebar to drop or cancel a purchase would be cool too, I shouldn't have to lose $25 just because of a mis-click. 3) Money or score bonus for hitting "Next Wave". A reward for better tower placement = cool. 4) Hot Keys, not a necessity, but very useful. 5) ... actually that's it for now. Otherwise, pretty good game, I'm still playing it so I guess it can't be too bad. The lack of tower info is wicked annoying though. Good graphics and sound. I'll give it a 4, despite my gripes. Maybe that's how it got a 3.89, everyone's giving it 3s and 4s. :)
Erm... ok? Tutorial or "easy" start maybe? I hold the mouse over the chamber in the corner... it counts down... guy shoots me, I die, game over. How did this game get a 3.85 again? Use mouse to aim and shoot, but there's literally *no* time to move the cursor up from the chamber before dying. I've manage to do it a couple of times now while writing this review, but there still doesn't seem like there's any real "fun" here. 2/5
Good game, I like it. Just ran into a bug though, called Armageddon and now my hero and his hero are just standing on each other walking back and forth, gonna have to quit. :( Still, it's fun so far. 5/5
50pts are for that painfully crappy game, Heroes of Gaia. For that, 4/5. Which is sad, 'cause otherwise, it's a great game, lots of fun, smooth and well done. Worth a 5/5. Not getting it though. I know, why blame the game for something Greg did? Meh, 'cause it made me that angry when I realized it wasn't 50 Kong points. :P
