Zone 11 is a major fail zone. Worst map design possible for a game like this. Everyone connects to the center, and one other... and everyone drops at the same rate... pointless. Oh well, 10 not-bad maps is kinda short, but not a bad game overall even for it's short length. 3/5
Buggy as hell. Tutorial window won't go away. I started my first tutorial battle then went to make meatloaf, when I got back I'd won... somehow... game wouldn't be half bad, but I can't see half the window because the tutorial window keeps popping up and won't go away easily. Definitely needed more testing. 2/5
Great game, but "harder" and beyond are beyond hard. One successful zombie attack and the game is over. Food and happiness do add some challenge, but even on normal I think it's a bit too much challenge. There should be more ways to develop happiness and food. A "part 2" with more balance and a wider scale of everything would be great.
Started off not bad, but the first wave of zombies was horrific. And I don't mean because we're being attacked by zombies. I had no idea what was going on. The village defence (defense) *immediately* dropped to 0. I couldn't tell the zombies from the background and right now I'm still sitting here staring at the "Village Under Attack" screen with no idea what's going on. I think I shot all of the zombies, but... nothing is happening. I can still fire... but is the game over? How do I get back to the main screen? How do I get out of here? Oh I know, I'll go load another game... Good effort though, needs lots of polish. 2/5
Eh, no, 3/5 stands. Targeting with the arrows/guns is better, but the upgrades don't follow a logical path, what's the point of the machine gun? It seems like simply a slower-reloading version of the rifle. *shrug* Oh well, not the best of these games, but definitely not the worst.
Not bad. The targeting system for the rocks is driving me up the wall, definitely no fun there. Trying to make it hit air vs ground targets is annoying as hell. 3/5 for now. Might bump that up if it gets better in later rounds.
Not bad, I like these kinds of games, but it needs some tweaking. There should be a way to buy upgrades from the main map, and even if you fail you should be able to get some of the money, at least, so you can go upgrade, as some maps are impossible to pass unless you have certain upgrades, but there's no way of doing that unless you play the map first. It would be really nice if you could use the keys (WASD and/or arrows) to move side to side.
Ah I just finished right after writing that and went to the joelesler.com to check out info on part 2 and... whatdaya know, many of those suggestions from my last Comment. Excellent. I definitely look forward to it. :)
Not bad, a little boring though, could use a lot of additions including a weapon/armor system and more skills. Maybe some more differences between the characters. Or perhaps a system that would allow us to choose our own party (a la Final Fantasy 1 style). Perhaps even a class upgrade path. Still, pretty fun for a while. 4/5
I've got the same bug as others have mentioned, it's zoomed in and off-set to the side. Can't seem to fix it. Updated Flash and still no joy. Oh well, maybe next time?
Good game, but 5 levels is incredibly meager. That there's more that are elsewhere doesn't count. That's like going to the gas station for 10 gallons of gas but only being allowed to buy 3 and told to go across town to get the other 7. I don't care how awesome the gas is, still gonna cheese me off for having to go elsewhere for the rest. 2/5
I'm kidding though, I did wait it out until I got to the game and then played it. Way overhyped, but not a terrible game overall. Would get a 4/5 if it weren't a demo/ad. As is, 1/5
One of the best games of the genre. Absolutely loved it. Fairly easy, compared to some, but still fun. Colorful, funny, and plenty of upgrades. Not -the- best, but right up there.
