Actually, malaeon, since all the ships seem to move faster-than-light, it can be argued that the engine is being used to fold the space in front of the ship, which would require constant fuel.
Playing with the custom settings, I noticed an odd bug. When you set it to 1 station per system, it does exactly that. But if you set it to n stations per system (n being any number 2-5), it puts a maximum of n-1 stations per system. I think one of your for loops has an off-by-one error.
@Headshot_Hawk, theoretically, the highest block you could get is 131072. Of course, the only way you could possibly get that high is by being able to choose where the blocks spawn.
In the News screen, I think it would be more intuitive if it listed events, starting from the top, from most to least recent (instead of least to most recent, as it is now).
As it is right now, when prices at a station go up, EVERYTHING goes up at the same rate. I'd like to see each market item's value rise and fall independently of all other items. (And add a display showing the market average, so you know if you should buy or sell.)
The job listing tells you what station you need to go to, but it's massively unhelpful, seeing as I have not been keeping track of which stations are in which solar systems, nor do I think keeping track should be necessary. I would love it if the job listings told you which solar system you needed to go to. (Plus, a real business would quickly flop if they never gave out their full address, and we can still round it down to the nearest planet. Imagine how much worse it would be if you didn't even have THAT to go on.)
How about a battle mode? When at least one enemy is within 100km, fight music starts up, your weapons automatically turn on, and the top-right menu changes to a battle command menu.
i was thinking auto target would cover this . it would auto target everything you currently have listed or band boxed. then ship that attack you are auto listed, so with auto target on, any hostile would become targeted and attacked.
I was able to destroy a boss that was too tough for me, by hanging around a station, fighting until my shields were nearly depleted, and popping inside to recharge my shields. Rinse and repeat. Perhaps to prevent this sort of behavior, you should make it so that, if a boss is down to 50% HP, and you run into a station, the boss flees. The boss will not count as defeated, and pirates will still respawn in the sector; you'll have to kill them all to lure him out again.
heh, glad you enjoyed it :)

Protip: When making an idle game, you should not hardcap the number of objects, nor should you make all the achievements achievable after less than a week of idling. Because when you do that, the player runs out of things to accomplish, and no longer has a reason to keep playing.
If you hold down a key for too long, you can accidentally make a move. In the original, every move requires a keystroke, so you won't accidentally make a move you didn't want. (Also, the music sucks.)
i will check that.
