Not every in-game click registers. It would be really nice to select a 24-hour contract without having to click 26(+) times, especially when doing so for all 6 vehicles.
I love the game mechanics (except for the circle-X-lock - too much clicking), but when you start getting multiple indicators on one piece, it can get pretty difficult to take everything in and process how to go about solving the puzzle.
Let me preface by saying that I really do love this series. Also as a developer myself, I know how difficult it can be to catch everything, especially when pressed for time, and super-especially when it's on a new platform, and super-duper-especially when you have other things going on (glad to hear you're okay, and congrats!). Bugs: There are quite a few typos in the dialogue and clues. The cursor keeps initiating in the top left corner on loading screens. It would be nice if the cursor didn't despawn. At one point, I clicked on a door while holding an item and Margh twitched as if to go there, but then the game appeared to soft-lock... clicking on the door again after typing this opened the map. Scribble audio plays *every* time the book is opened (very annoying when questioning people).
I unlocked the Haunted Woods expansion then clicked back to the Intro Realm to see if it was still producing... and now I can't click back. UPDATE: I did finally manage to get back, but now the menu is dropping upward out of the game screen. Either way, clicking an option does not work the majority of the time. The menu will also close itself whenever a tick occurs.
I feel like I'm going a little bit crazy. I was sitting here, playing this game - several tabs open, but nothing else active... when suddenly screams start emanating from my computer. I could find no other windows or tabs with the sound icon active. I cannot fathom why this game would produce screams (is such a sound file even included?) but found no other reason for it. What gives??
The numbers are hard to read on different colored backgrounds, and the grey & blue get a little lost with their dark outlines. It would have been better to place numbers in colored squares instead of having colored text.
I can't even get past level 2. Hitting your head on the ceiling during a jump sends you flying back the way you came, which means I hit the spikes every time. There are other boundary issues - standing up against a wall prevents you from jumping at all. You can also escape the level because the screen bounds are not blocked at all.
It kind of sucks to have the credits run every time I beat the final boss. The first time, sure. But if I want to go back and earn some in-game trophies, I would REALLY appreciate a skip button for all the following wins.
I don't give many five-star ratings, but this game earned one. Why? 1. It's difficult without being unnecessarily punishing. 2. It keeps track of your coin/chest progress, making level restarts way less frustrating. 3. It lets you choose your play style via equipment, which you can change as you go. 4. It has minimal, clear, and responsive controls. 5. It's cute and fun! == The biggest change I'd make is to allow the player to reset their spells, since you can find yourself really wishing for a different setup for a particular boss.
