Request for future games/updates: PLEASE make the line drawing cancel once you hit the edge of the screen. The number of times I've had to restart because I went to draw the other side of a funnel and accidentally closed the whole thing...
The home stretch - my heart rate freaking SKYROCKETED. I was probably also grinding my teeth while floating inside clouds and holding my breath while jumping in between them. Hwooooof. No more precision platformers for me.
Having a giant wall of text and pictures (covering the play screen no less) before we've even learned the point of the game... is not the best way to teach us. This is the kind of game that would actually benefit from a hand-holding tutorial.
Swapping out Followers mid-fight will freeze the battle feature. All battle buttons will be greyed out and no further HP will be reduced on either side.
PROTIP! For the hard badge, you do not need to complete The Killing Floor. Just be sure to finish all the other bonus levels (in The Test Complex, find the door that says "Complete Level" and open it)
WARNING! Rant: Why the Aquatic Event is Terrible. 1) Having to scroll through all the event goals every time I open it. 2) Quests that take WAY too long to complete. 3 bosses was shocking (3 hour spawn timer). Then I got one with 15 bosses. WTF. And the payoff (1 coin/3 bosses) is not worth the time (or runic/picks required to reset boss timer). 3) No ongoing counters for goals. 15 chests? Why can't older ones count toward my total? I have been stuck numerous times with a full set of chests that are NOT aquatic and have to spend hours upon hours opening iron, silver, and gold instead. And that's only #14 of 25. Used all your coins before you reached the goal for it? Too bad. Go collect more. And if you get a quest like 15 bosses? You are STUCK. OVERALL: This is from someone who CAN spend all day at their computer babysitting the game. Purchases should be reserved for people who can't or don't want to make the effort. Cash shouldn't be required to overcome bad design.
Really? Only 1 fishing coin for defeating 3 bosses? It's going to prevent me from completing any other quests for up to 9 hours and I'm only getting 1 lousy coin for it.
It would have been nice to have some sort of warning that click-and-hold is now an ABILITY instead of a standard action. I've been clicking manually for this whole fishing quest event thinking that auto-click got broken.
@EPGstudios About the suggestion for being able to teleport between bases - a simple keyboard solution would be to assign a number/letter to each base and one would only need to hit that key to go there.
I already have a menu teleportation system in, which replaces the "return to base" system when you've visited all the bases. I think assigning each base to a number key would be confusing and inefficient, but thanks for the feedback.
I've only seen one other person mention this issue - I've run a race and the end screen says I've collected all the coins for that level. The select screen still shows me missing a few. Do I have to wipe and restart to fix it? Do I have to finish a race better than last for the stat to stick? Just - what??
And for the record, I don't LIKE playing in full-screen - it prevents me from seeing any of the rest of my screen or apps, and the Kong pop-up full screen closes anytime it loses focus. Recommending that players zoom the window - note that it sets that zoom level for your entire browser, forcing users to zoom in/out if they switch away from the game. Insisting on all these workarounds to the player's detriment just to claim your perfect pixel width is bad authorship (which, again, I am only seeing it at HALF the width/height you describe).
I understand. Fullscreen might be really inconvenient. And zoom won't help you because of the issue you described in the previous comment. As I said I don't know why frame looks so tiny on your display. Sad to admit, but I have no idea how to help you in this situation.
The Kong screensize is variable. If you're going to be insistent on a specific ratio and force fullscreen for any amount of visibility at 1x, you can at LEAST set the original window to a width that will allow a 2x default instead of the "What is this? A game for ants?" thing you've got going now that is literally not even the height of my pinky on my (modern-day standard, laptop sized) screen. I'm not sure what you're talking about with having to make the screen THAT much bigger. Currently, the active game is surrounded by so much black in the playing field that it's only about 25% of the game screen - it's just 360px wide. So really, according to your quoted size, that's 0.5x size, not even a full 1x, let alone 2x.
Weird. I have no idea why window is so small on your screen. I entered this size in Kongregate settings: 640x360 while the game was uploading. Take a look how it looks like on my computer. Frame is exactly 640 px wide. https://imgur.com/a/61sezWo
