Seems like the game's timing is off - I can have the "Next Auto Roll" slowed down to over a minute and the "Too Slow" badge still won't quite reach 60.
Regardless of colloquial usage/language morph (this is the first time I'm hearing of "dice" as singular being considered proper), it's incredibly confusing in the game trying to decipher whether "dice" is referring to one or more of them. I've also never heard the term "junker" - I had to look it up. Is it a common term? A regional dialect?
Because pixel art will be distorted and I don't want that to happen. Game's resolution is 640x360. In order to keep image crisp I can scale up frame using only integers. So frame size after the minimum scale up (x2) will be 1280x720. I can't make it this big because Kongregate has frame size restrictions. You can zoom in the page itself though using Ctrl and mouse wheel.
Oh, there should be an option to quit/restart the run on the pause screen. Especially useful for those attempting a perfect run since the first 120 secs are much easier than anything that comes after.
I feel that the background and foreground needlessly complicate the game. Mistaking skulls for obstacles and missing things on the ground due to tree shadows is pretty frustrating. I also feel like the whole thing has the potential for being completely inaccessible to certain types of colorblindness. You may want to add some alternate color schemes. And yeah, some type of invulnerability - however brief - would be amazing. It really sucks to run into a grave and then get hit by a rabbit immediately after, losing 2 hearts instead of 1 for a single missed jump.
I like to know how many levels there are to start. There ought to be a more consolidated level screen. Every menu interaction takes too long and I kept clicking around expecting to find some new mechanic or point of reference only to be slowly brought back into a level I didn't mean to click. I didn't even realize that the levels were scrollable at first, I thought that the play screen ONLY gave me the option to continue from where I left off.
There are too many levels that are too fiddly with getting the perfect timing/shot that it quickly becomes not-fun when you are spewing and sucking or just plain resetting 10+ times in the same level just to get that perfect shot that will go the right way or propel you one square further.
Dear devs: Please reassess and update your game. The console is throwing LOADS of messages, warnings, and errors for deprecated functions, missing assets, etc. I loathe trying to sell artifacts because I've got about a 50/50 chance of triggering an overflow error. Why it's that particular action, I have no idea. It will also slow and/or freeze depending on what else I've got going on with my computer/browser. For such a relatively uncomplicated game, it sure doesn't like to run alongside much else.
Why do the battles load so slowly? And holy cow -er- giraffe, is the stampede attack a dirty move. You can't avoid it in the air (really??), you can't recover unless you're on the ground, and it doesn't stop until you've evaded it.
You know what would be a great feature? Being able to select "groups" of artifacts or AT LEAST be able to rename or sort them somehow. Most of the time, I want to max out Block Fortune, but sometimes I want to feature Mob Lure (like during the Heart event) or Thrifty Curio (to upgrade them) but I have to click on every one of my saved artifacts to check the stats because they're all the same 5 names of similar levels.
@MrUnecht I don't recall precisely what I was referring to because you responded over 6 months after I left my original comment, but I know perfectly well how to modify my own computer settings. I shouldn't have to. The game, an idle game, should be able to idle without needing to be babysat.
Your question was: "Is there any way to exit the "sleep screen"? I am tired of tabbing away or leaving my computer for long enough that the monitor goes to sleep and having to reload the game and re-select all my job, game, and skill settings."
And the game is configurated that it will never go to sleep.
I tested it on my pc, so it has to be something with your pc settings
