you know you've been playing too long when your finger hurts from pressing down on the mouse, touchpad, or keyboard button extra hard, as if it's gonna take that last bogey down that much faster.... thanks for the uber-hard hard badge, btw. the only reason it's not impossible is because you're not requiring us to the last stage without any hits. dunno how people are managing it at all: obviously they are if they're getting all the achievements. not a bad game, really, but i gotta allow for the fact that the background music is a blatant knockoff of the main track theme from Top Gear (Las Vegas) on SNES. cool, yes. naughty, also yes.
@Rastertaster: Kong adds the badges, actually. it's not the creator's fault they made it a bit attritive. on the bright side, it's not like they make you beat all the stages to get it.
wish i had even a nickel for all the @$&^%# who'd rather play a #$%^ game with pretty graphics and leave negative #!&%$ remarks than this. i'd be a rich man. hell, i'd probably be a friggin billionaire. not that i'm gonna be finishing it any time soon, but that's just cuz i'm a lazy ass.
lol, as if to drive the point home, clicking on the next mission and starting to actually play sends the PC i'm on careening into a fake anti-malware site. brilliant. lmao. c'mon....
[looks at upgrade menu] oh, cool. only three stats. nice and simple.... [clicks on stat] holy crap. not so simple.... [gawks at list] m'kay. easy badge and gone. FTS.
clever and short, but 18 is a deliberate pain. there's an easy solution, but it obviously leaves out the balloon: just push the garbage over to the right edge (over the R, not the M), remove your push, and take the cover off the bomb to let the laser hit it. forget dropping it, it's unnecessary. i still think the laser blasting the gargbage on any level should work just as well though. devs not thinking too thoroughly, honestly.
was thinking i already did most of this one, but guess that was NW2. anyway, like the lack of shop complexity honestly, but lack of keyboard controls? if this were bullet hell, i'd say mouse-only is fine, but it is not. as it is, esp on a laptop, this is unacceptable. otherwise pretty fun though.
easy and fun. be nice if i could finish it, but i literally cannot. on any computer i've played this on, it's the same story: game starts lagging on and off, usually during the era switch, and inevitably freezes or crashes, and there is no checkpoint or save feature. it's a pity since i think i've gotten to the last era (dark armour and futuristic weapons?), and the experience and music were great, but apparently Kreme de la Kong is synonymous with Crash de la Magnefique. bummer. guess i'm destined not to get this one. make these games so we can win 'em, kay guys?
as much as i hate the control scheme, i gotta admit it was fun. besides, with a name like Bad Wizard, who could resist. now to put my wizard robe and hat away....
@esteay they used to. in fact, they made games exactly like this before Papa's really hit it off. they just didn't care enough about the fans to make more, even though people paid him through the nose for it.
heh, heh. good as i remember. didn't remember it having so many ads, but that's easy to forgive when the game itself is so damn fun. and easy. the insane dialogue doesn't hurt either. xD
i liked it. was expecting a little more. probably something a little more opposite to the Upgrade Complete games. (and since UC3 was a complete letdown.) fun though. thanks.
