Rule #1 When making a flash game or any game, assume that not everyone has top notch equipment.
Rule #2 Be creative, don't knock-off the more recent popular games.
Rule #3 Gameplay first, if it's playable, make it enjoyable, not tedious button mashing.
Rule #4 Holiday themes are fine if you don't ever want someone playing your game after the holidays, however you should probably make games that will be popular a couple years from now.
Rule #5 Sure it's fine to have a target audience, but it's probably better if even your grandmother can at least play it on the easy setting.
This game breaks those rules... All of them.
Glad to know that the more stuff around, the bigger the explosion... sorry, I can't say I like this game as it has horrid gameplay. Running behind a wall does not make you immune to bullets going through the wall, some walls are in fact invisible, and civilians know to defend themselves by standing in explosion and bullet range everytime.
use all ninjas, then use the speed upgrade = awesome, though ninja's do die easier if you don't stockpile enough of them. Also, I wish there was a button to make all soldiers use will.
My favorite so far is the necromancer and anything that can fly. necromancer is best in terms of play so far that I've found... drop a skele, wait for it to kill, or, spam missle, plus a heal as a backup.
And the boss wanders right to where I'm hiding half the time... this saves me the hunting down part... wait, why'd the manhole pop up between the guards... ah crap.. I actually have to try now.
I'm glad this doesn't have badges because of the nature of it, but having a note half off for double notes can get a bit irritating, perhaps if done on a slider and given approximate correct areas? I enjoy this game, it's creative.
Darn... level 27, low health, life heal was next to me.. Boom... frig where did that yellow come from. Awesome game though... not too fancy, not too shabby, just right. Although I do agree that it's bothersome that you accidentally spend your first point if holding mouse button when the menu pops up.
T.T trying 10k mode... I'm trying to build a maze that allows me to send all creeps at once... turns out it works except for the flyers that get by... Swarm towers aren't fast enough... dart tower buffed with max booster turrets makes it all go kablooey... whole frontline mowed down by two of them....
Bad mechanics, bad gameplay. fix the exponential rate of movement (i.e. for every second moving you go twice as fast.) Oh yeah, and don't rip off a game maker who deserves awesomeness...
Wobbly tower makes for poor play... :/ Blocks settle before they are even in place, which means they end up turning midway and thus collapse my tower...
