Full Game Or GTFO! I hate demos. They make me angry and I will never, ever buy a game after playing the demo on a site like Kongregate. ("Kongregate: Play FREE Games Online") I do not come here to play demos, I come here to play FULL flash games. If I wanted to pay for games, I'd go to a store and buy much better games than this. Grrrr.
I would definitely like an option to re-choose starter cards. I picked cards that I don't like before I knew how to use any of them. A one time re-pick would make me rather happy. Obviously unlimited re-picks are bad, but one time for everyone can't be that bad an idea?
I don't know if this is correct, but: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1/topics/16484?page=2
"5 card deck = +2% chance;
ranked match = +1% chance;
quickmatch = normal;
clicking random deck(all cards) +2% chance of getting cards."
Origami Crane -- "Your attacks cannot miss." Misleading; they can miss if you get hit with an accuracy debuff, and (possibly?) if your opponent dodges, although that's a slightly different matter. Bottom line: The Origami Crane is a LIE.
This game does a lot of things right that Achilles didn't do right, (archers don't shoot you from off screen, for one.) My only real complaint is the misleading title--it made me think I was going to get another Warlords, and I basically got another (albeit vastly improved) Achilles. Engine = vastly more relevant than setting in determining what kind of game it is, I think. Verdict: "A" for gameplay, "Eh?" For choice of title. **On a side note, for the guys on horseback, all you have to do is block and then attack from behind. If you have no thugs to worry about, at least, they are not too bad.
Agree with soapy -- The time limit is to short in the later levels; it should be more about surviving, not your ability to click and drag. Could be an amazing game with only a few changes.
Hmm. You can win a round, and yet lose points for doing so. (Solution: be really good and don't barely win a round. Err...) And it's based far too much on chance. Also, the computer seems to cheat half the time. Apparently a lot of people like this game, but I don't really see why. I do like games of this general sort, but this one just gets under my skin. I give it a 1/5 because it just plain annoys me, without making any of that "fun" happen that games are supposed to cause. -Also, with the 3.76 avg. rating as of now, it seems like the badges and card could have found a slightly more deserving game.
