Strikes me as a game made by someone still learning how to make games. A few suggestions:
Make the paths and possible placement locations clearer.
M key to mute
Make it clear what upgrading upgrades and by how much
Found a bug. If Matt kills one of the spirits with the first hit or two of legend, the last hit will connect after it revives and kill it, but the sprite remains on the battle field
Protip: miner ships are FAR better than mining rays. If there are a lot of asteriods in a level, toss up 8-12 mining ship factories and you will regenerate that cash outlay almost instantly.
After that, spam interceptors or drop ONE starport set to make carrieres/supercarriers and spam physics labs.
The bestiary suggestion isn't too much info, it's info that's already present when you are facing the monsters and has already been collected in wiki form.
There's a bad delay on my computer that makes the game unplayable. It's not jumpy or anything, just every click and key press is delayed 0.1 - 0.25 seconds
Baconator 2 is pretty much impossible with a lower quality monitor. The ultra low contrast on that level makes it impossible to see where anything is. 3 times I've destroyed the boss and had another shot, but had no clue where the survivors were.
There are a few rather large annoyances in the game:
1. No functional map. There's the minimap and the stylized overmap, but nothing to show you the connections between zones.
2. walking speed is WAY too slow. It's too slow even with the speed spell. It's flat out obnoxious to get from one place to another unspeeded
3. crafting is click heavy. Lets say you want to clear out those 50 berries by making pet healing potions. Well, click to start crafting, click materials, drag a bottle, click items, drag the berries, click "add" 2-11 times click craft. Want to make another? go through that WHOLE sequence again.
These issues kept me from playing it through the first time it came up. Even now, I'm only able to cope by leaving most dropped items where they fall and extensively utilizing 3rd party maps.
Only thing it needs now is something to display uncolected powerups on the minimap (maybe after you beat the game?) I've got everything but one speed boost and want to find that last one.
If you're having trouble getting platinum on lvl 3, use the laser set at a high angle and the ground shield . The laser lets you shoot through walls hitting enemies in the tunnels you didn't take and ground shield obviously keeps you from losing those points against the walls
If the entire clue isn't showing for you, shift+tab though the page and it will show the right side of the clues. The left side will then be cut off, but you can see that again by clicking on the clue to grey it out.
It's a good place to get all that information in one spot. Also, not everyone has or likes to have wikis up when they are playing.
