AussieCalvin, I worked the ball into a stright up-down bounce, which made the rest of that level a matter of watching to make sure it didn't deviate.
Plenty of games of breakout as a youngster. ;)
@jimmycarlin: Did you bank that? The badge isn't for getting 3000 in a single roll, but for banking 3000 in one turn. If you get a 3000 roll, but then continue rolling and zilch... no badge for you.
"I have no doubt that it's random, but man, it seems a coincidence that everyone sees the same things happening." It's because 'everyone' is comprised entirely of humans, and we all have the same tendencies as far as recognition of patterns - even when they aren't actually there - and remembering the bad more than the neutral or good.
Wow... I hadn't sold my fighter bay because "Hey, it only gets me 8 RU." But, holy crap does it make it easier. Having enemies come in on a straight path makes it *vastly* easier to take them out quickly. If you have fighters out, it's the same as giving the enemies Evasive Maneuvers. I still haven't gotten the hard, as the series of capital/asteroid ships after the collector are taking me out, but I can see how it's a lot more possible if you sell your initial fighter bay.
bv11: Just don't attack. If you are facing the incoming projectile, and have a shield that will stop it (don't use the starter shield against fireballs), you will block the shot unless you're swinging your weapon like a madman.
Yabebto: The Holy Spirit summon is charged by the loss of your units. It's kind of like a Retribution Strike. Sending a swarm of footmen to be slaughtered is a simple way of charging it up.
@ Farlieye: That's an example of "leet-speak", using numbers of other symbols to represent letters. In the case of 1337, it translates to "leet", meaning "elite".
To Carbunc: Spending your first several bonus points on increasing your interest rate goes a long way to taking care of money problems. Also holding onto money if you can at all manage it, rather than getting upgrades ASAP, so there's more for the interest rate to work on.
Zazie: "is there any flaw to the antimatter shield o-o?" Well, enemy shots don't bounce off the AM shield; so, while you are safe behind the AM shield, you also can't harm the enemy tanks. So, you'll run out of time if you're too cautious. (Which, on the last level at least, isn't an issue... it took me a long time to kill the final boss tank, well after my clock had ticked down to 00:00.
For those saying the patient dies to quickly...
SEDATE the patient. Twice in the beginning, and then sedate them later if their sedation level gets low. That will keep them from losing as much health from bleeding and from your ministrations.
Sprint Mobile: Because you got "hit". It just took away your shield instead of taking away some life. I got the same thing trying for Untouchable -- never lost life, but did lose my shield once, so I didn't get Untouchable. :( Still trying...
I was stuck on level 2 for a while, needed a hint from a friend.
The obvious "place the two balls on the beam and hope they stay still" is wrong. You need to think laterally.
For a solution that doesn't require a circle to stay still on a flat surface, see here: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/kyyshrrk/Kong/level2.jpg (Thanks to Kyy)
cheesebaker, the list you're looking at is wrong/outdated.
Play through the game without worrying about the time limit, and you can see what all the things are (those three are 10, 20 and 60 seconds now I think.)
darkslayer, it's not typing contra, it's typing the contra code (or, more accurately, the Konami code.)
OneToughChick, it's simply holding the up button for 10 seconds.
I'm going to agree with Shukketsushi... the Unholy Power Book Badge says "Deal 25 damage with a single attack." It doesn't say *or over*. If you do an attack that is 25 on the nose, you should be fine.
"it takes a good half hour for the first 10 waves to go by. giving you like 12 points to work with..." Use the Taunt button when you're waiting; it'll spawn more guys (not sure if it simply starts the next wave) and give you points.
