@archerbob Advancing the computer's clock. It's still a lot of work; I've done it in parts over a couple weeks, but when you can change your clock and tell the game "Hey, it's a year later; give me all the playtime badges! And a year's worth of income!" you shave off the time needed.
@daanboer Not that many that don't require Flash. The games that need emulators (now that Flash is bye-bye) can't be used for BotD... which leaves pretty slim choices.
Is it just me, or is the statement "The game has a built-in tutorial" a lie? Luckily I've played these games in the past, so I can remember some of the features, but there's not even anything on the Help screen to tell you that building on the poofs increases mana generation, or the ruined towers increase range (though that one's easy to see.)
For 13, remember what you did in level 10: sticking the axe, moving to the opposite side of bats, and summoning the axe back through the bats to kill them.
Is there a way to make the SuperNova Player go fullscreen? I have, more than a couple times, gone to click the X on an in-game menu and instead clicked the X that closes the whole window. Operator error, for sure, but it would also be nice to just have this beautiful game filling my whole screen.
Before tomorrow comes and people start posting lots about "I can't get the badge": Per the Flash End-of-Life notice *at the top of this page*: "If you are using the SuperNova extension, badges will not work normally." So, if you need the badge, use the "Report missing achievement or bounty" link under the badge description. Take a screenshot that includes the Supernova game window showing you are at 115/115 elements, and the browser window with the Kong chat showing your username, and send it in through that report link. Easy peasy. (Note in the text box that it's for the Kongpanion, if you need it to get it or the shiny version.)
Yay for thinking ahead! I saw earlier in the week that I didn't have the Medium badge, and found this is one of the games that does work in Supernova on Firefox. Knowing that Supernova doesn't award the badges automatically (read the notifications, people; Supernova does not link to badges!) I screenshotted my desktop (so I had the Supernova window and the Kong chat in my browser visible) after I reached level 21 and after I beat a Random-3 in 46 seconds. Threw the two screenshots into MS Paint and saved them as a JPG, sent in a Missing Badge report, and voila! Badge added yesterday, in time to get the Kongpanion credit for today (missed two days earlier this week, so today was vital.)
@Selyob: That second hand is a quick-swap hand. If you see, under that second hand, it has Q,E; if you have another weapon in that hand, pressing Q or E will swap that with your current weapon.
I keep wondering... are pets actually useful? They keep dying, especially quickly at higher levels of monsters. If I just ignore pets, I get two spaces of my inventory back (berries and fruits) and I can stop desperately using abilities to try to kill the monster before my pet gets flattened. I can stop fighting in underlevelled areas just to try to level my pet up for some survivability, just to have all that work wasted when something spawns nearby while I'm already in a fight and flanks my pet.
Four robots is *fun* because it becomes a game of "avoid the aliens and grab all the candy we're pouring onto the screen." But I couldn't tell if the Vending ability upgraded with your level of Candy; if it doesn't, it's much less viable.
Actually it will, since the default is 1600x900.
