Seriously...you had to make contra harder and more bitchy...my loathing for you is great. Mostly a good game, but really...their are some memories better left in the past...
Bought the full game with kreds, the priests are glitchy at times and will not always heal, like they get stuck or are in a loop. I've lost a map or two, especially at the higher speeds, cause the priest suddenly just gives up on his job of healing. Sometimes it can be restarted by changing his settings other times not.
Hard does not equal fun...after the first few levels, this game becomes an absolute pain. It does have great music and graphics, but it feels horribly unbalanced, least the design team is starting to somewhat understand the concept of entertainment though, which is a giant leap from the 1st of the Epic Series...I shouldn't have to cheat to beat a game. 2/5
Wow...apparently their bombers are so awesome that when it's 5 spitfires on 1 german bomber, one of my planes die along with the pilot...Exactly how am I supposed to be having fun with the game with the numbers so heavily rigged against me. Such as I lost 6 spitfires in one turn, to them loosing 2 fighters and 5 bombers. 2/5 till game is fixed.
Okay...this game to me is a failure, their is no point in capturing any land in any turn from a tactical point of view, no resources outside of a fight, no land making you more powerful, no land needed to say what units you can have. No real story line, no alliance system, no upgrade system for the officers, everything here feels so generic. What made the story so great (the one you base your game off of) that it inspired so many games is how each one of the officers felt and why they followed the certain ruler that they did. This game is shameful in its current form. 2/5
Could the angel/main char please jump less when hitting an enemy, also, could you make toy retrieval a bit easier. Otherwise it becomes a fight to get the toys back that you just can't win due to the demons always being below you and carrying it up. Especially in the earlier part of the rush when you don't have enough "blocks" to kill them off fast enough. Also, your shop needs some work on making some of the skills stronger or evening things out or having more upgrades and golden souls in the game, maybe even have silver souls or something, if you miss just one toy.
I can't help but dislike games where the designer expects you to click on everything till you get it right in his view, without giving a hint system, without it being an entire walk through to least guide you if you are missing one small thing or not thinking exactly like him/her.
I was hoping for more...like ether space combined with tower defense, such as setting up your own base, if you wanted defenders or towers or whatever and also being able to defend it yourself through the waves. Would have been more interesting, maybe a campaign mode also or something more then custom game, to give me a reason to care to play. Such as multiple game modes would be nice instead of just different difficulties.
The selection of armor and weapons you can buy is to randomized and usually shoddy. Also, I am having weapons that are lower class quality having better stats on my weapons. The whole game seems....based on luck of the draw for nearly everything 2/5 till things are improved, such as powers, store, equipment.
I can't even hit the other ship on easy mode, because it fires to fast and has to many specials...this is on the lvl right after the tutorial, so what gives. Also my ship fires its defense at a rate of 25% compared to what the enemy ship is. 1/5
The game is good, but it is to much of a grind in order to actually get everything in the game. I'm not going to spend many hours maxing everything out to be able to beat the challenge stages. I beat the first 12 lvls though, never had enough money to really max anything out, was always looking for units that could actually handle combat, since the ones with high population, simply do not survive in the later stages.4/5
This game was horrid, the vehicle braking system was dumb, should be click anywhere and it stops. The humans did not accuratly do the comming apart right or be squished by a van right. The whole concept was...not fun. 1/5 I'd vote lower much lower if I could.
For the rest of us, that don't absolutely love your game cause its tower defense. We think this game is a step back in quality from what has been recently released. If I bring the wrong heroes I loose, I can't know what type of monsters really are going to be there, such as what resistances, I spend all my gold just on units and upgrades and it's still not enough. All the quests seem to be "normal" Where their are huge differences in difficulty. I can't quickly change between units on the battle field, if I messed up with my own creation, I am messed over. If I don't get to recruit the right heroes, game over again. I honestly can not see the fun in this game, when it doesn't have enough options to help you out. 2/5 I hope others may see that just because its a tower defense game, doesn't mean that it is a good game.
I do have a complaint, that if an enemy touches one of your gems, your automatically knocked down a grading lvl, and you have heroic ninjas, which can go from one side of the map to the other completely cloaked. Meaning, you will loose the ranking simply because the ninja will touch a gem before you can do anything at all. A spell or a tower or something that can negate the cloaking of the heroic ninja I think is needed or that you cut down the amount of time the ninja is cloaked.
The game is heavily unbalanced, the computer has a high level of artificial resources, enough so that they can defeat any attack by simply buying enough, even though it should be impossible for them to get the number of troops that they do. Humans also seem weaker then the orcs which seems a little silly considering human troops cost more. 2/5
