You need to upload a version that was not compiled with Developer Mode on, the debug logging menu shows errors that I as a player should not have to worry about (and that you should probably fix).
Oh hey, another fellow GGJ'12er! Glad to see another game that made it out of that weekend and see the light of day (mine's Velociraptor! Cannibalism!). :)
Enjoyed this to the end, even if I did have a half-dozen or so sad deaths (Viktors 25 and 26, IIRC, both died in the same spot, the 2nd and 3rd to meet that same spiked floor trap fate).
Sometimes keystrokes aren't recognized in the minigames (or during the 10 second challenge, when typing the name). This slows me down and makes me score lower.
I really could have done with a "skip" button on the animation that happens when I die. It was amusing once. I also could have done without enemies spawning *on top of me* immediately after the game starts or I respawn. Add to that a lack of content and I'm forced to say that this game has promise, but in its current state it isn't fun for more than about three minutes.
Last level is virtually impossible. I get down to six and had to carefully pick one to shoot and then if it split figure out which of those two were the splitter. It was almost always the bottom one. But then sometimes it was the TOP one, which would jump me back up to 10 balls (the occasional "two bullets at once" issue helping not at all). And I swear to god more than three were splitters. I'd find two, pick one of the remaining four at random and EVERY. DAM. TIME. it would split.
Devote 6 hours to guard duty, only a "moderate" chance of intrusion.
Someone got in and stole 60!!! uncategorized finds (leaving 41, of which I'd found 0). How the hel?
Last year the enemy had 1700 gold and attacked us with 2 militiamen and 3 swordsmen, they were crushed. This year there is no news. [FIGHT!!] opponent: 12 swordsmen, 3 knights, 4 archers, 3 druids.
You survived 34 years.
Wait, what? Where did that army come from!?
I'm working on a game right now and I've considered this kind of time dilation effect to give the player the opportunity to think strategically and execute fine maneuvers without having to be twitch-reative (as its a stealth game). I'm still not sure if I will or not, but it would be on activation (that is, the player could toggle between realtime and slowtime at will, even while they're not moving). I look forward to seeing this finished.
Thanks for playing and commenting and I'm glad you like the game! Unfortunately, it runs slowly on some machines and some browsers. I'm aware of this problem but I haven't found a way to fix it. It seems to be the lack of hardware rendering for html5 canvas2d on some browsers though, which makes drawing anything at all very slow. If you'd like to continue playing, you could try using Chrome - that browser seems to perform the best in my tests.
Level 8 in Multiplying is giving me trouble. I can't use the x3 on anything I can actually GET to the x3. The closest I got to a solution was a 2 and two 9s. Which adds up, but I can't split things. :\
Binocular stand does not look like a binoculars stand. Binoculars are hidden in a place that is very easy to overlook. Clue the binoculars give should have been removed entirely or at least allowed to be solved without the clue (brute force). Transitions are delayed slightly, making long distance travel slow when it should not be (also, the images have gaps which looks ugly). The lightbulbs don't have an obvious use (even finding it in the video and what the clue it shows is, all it does is make me go "for fuk's sake, that code panel can't even be USED until I know the code?" because it can't, I tried).
This game is really freaking hard, wowza. I have no rhythm, I know that, but geeze, this is tough, even just going by the visuals. Great job transforming a beat into a path like that, that's really cool.
