The game is too short, especially in regards to how expensive that doom tower is. By the time you can afford it (IF you ever even do), it's too late to be of any use.
This game is a little unusual for it's kind in that you actually lose points if you click groups of just 1 or 2 tiles (ie, ones that can't be removed), so random clicking is not advised. Pay attention to the little window on the left, as powerups appear there breifly. The checkerboard pattern changes a small number of squares to checkered ones each time you click, you can tutrn the whole field checkered this way & remove all blocks with one click. Click the yellow vial rapidly to drain it & end the level early. The 2 black things with +s give bonus points, the turle slows the game down, the rabbit speeds it up.
It's not an awesome game, but then again it's just a bubble popper. What did you expect from a bubble popper? Awesome graphics? Incredible depth of strategy, story, and gameplay?
Good game for an early attempt. It's a serious bug though that both the lightning & frost towers LOSE abilities when they upgrade. Also, as others have mentioned, this seriously needs a way to turn off the loud music.
ok game, but way too easy/boring. I have to sit here & twiddle my thumbs, purposely letting rows pile up, just to make it remotely fun. Also, not being able to turn off the music really sucks when you're trying to listen to something else.
The poison tower bug is a superficial one, it seems to be swapping the currnet/upgrade fields. If you go ahead & upgrade it though, the power goes up as it should.
WTF are you supposed to do about that invisible goblin in the challenge cave #5 ??? (and why doesn't your damage bar decrease until the moment you die on that level??)
BUG: Select your main unit & try to build any unit, before blowing up any of the enemy bases surrounding it. A big green "X" will appear over it, and this will screw up your ability to select units. You have to click the "next unit" button to be able to click other units again, and you can't re-select that main unit unless you use the "next unit" button to switch to it. Destroying the bases & successfully building units doesn't make the "X" go away. The only way to be able to select that main unit normally again is to move it off that square. (The big green "X" never goes away btw, no matter what you do.)
bug: Ghost towers: Build some towers, hit the red power button, get back to the game, sit & watch. The towers you previously built will continue to attack the creeps (even though the towers don't seem to be there anymore). They also retain any upgrades you gave them. On top of all that, you get your full starting cash back & can build a whole new set of towers.
Aside from the grim imagery of the enemies getting chopped & the hero getting eaten, this is almost exactly like the countless such games I had as a kid.
Big improvement over the first version, especially in regards to walking speed. The game does seem to be a bit of a resource hog though, it'd be better if you could optimize it some.
