Going in the right direction from #1. But - steering is still unwieldy, there's still a lot of guessing about prices and stats, camera still gets in the way, it all still feels unfinished. Pity, and I was _so_ looking forward to this one. Only 3/5, sorry.
Graphics are okay, story is meh. The battle screen is nice (I like shootemups). The game overall feels unfinished, there are a lot of storyline and gameplay bugs. 3/5. Improved sequel will get better rating.
Netsworth: - It is possible to miss in a defense quest and still win. Learn and improve and you will see. BTW, it is possible to do a number of defences with only missing once (and I rarely use other troops in a defence). - spending gold: house, house items, books, crafting components, potions... What else do you want?
To those who lost their saves: it may have something to do with Flash Player update; the "local save" option seems to reset under certain conditions. I lost all my saves across all games on Kong >.<
Good game, professionally done. Too bad it's so linear; you only have one way to go, one set of enemies to slay, one story to discover. If not for that, I'd play it again with a different character. Thus, only 4/5.
I'm stumped by the (non-)healing. Sometimes I leave city with renewed health, sometimes not (I always click through all the tabs in town). Any idea what influences it?
"Good"(+) and "Bad"(-) choices (this is NOT a walkthrough; I mostly suggest only the seeds to be used and their order, other items only if relevant to choices): 1.(+)use "spring" seed (-)use red valve 2.(+)use spring twice (-)flame, spring 3.(+)spring (-)flame 4.(+)eater, flame (-)spring 5.(+)spring (-)eater, flame 6.(+)floater, eater, spring (-)floater, flame, spring 7.(+)cog seed (-)flame 8.(+)hairball,fish,mouse,spring,vine (-)bottle, fish... etc. 9.(+)flame (-)button. ...hope I haven't omitted anything important 8-S
If your Flash player idles/stops when tabbed out, try this fix (the link comes from instructions on GrindQuest by Abra24): http://www.avalonentertainments.com/index.php?page=GQFAQ
...works for me.
I love this! The conversation bubbles, the graphics, the idea in general, just brilliant! How come it has such a low rating? (And a message thoughtless environmentalists without consideration for the effects of their fanaticism: And ideal situation for nature would be if all humans returned to live in trees, or just all died out. You should set the example and start with it.)
@Dorcas_Aurelia: since this is probably supposed to be a RPG, I feel that attact accuracy is well justified.
3/5 for the graphics and music, not any more for the convoluted story and bad English. The level/boss disparity is indeed and issue.
Waait a minute. I already destroyed the bulk of the alien army? I must have missed out on a lot of fun! And why's my ship designed like an obstacle course? ... Pretty cute graphics, change of gameplay style is a nice touch, story is meh, music so-so. Aiming in the right direction, though. 2/5. And - how is this a RPG/adventure, by the way? More like an arcade.
Good game, although it looks more like a demo. For instance: why display the money you earned if you have no way to make use of it?
The induction into the mafia is a bit rushed too, more depth and more missions could still improve this game. 4/5. If you make an improved sequel, expect a solid 5/5 from me. Good job!
Heh. Crule dictator? Just risin? Pilaging? Recieved? Conquored? Attack on site? Your the boss? There a rumors? Existance? What way? (I stopped looking after this, it's your "job" to use correct spelling, grammar etc.)
BenSpyda, did you attend a public school? If so, you should sue the state for having botched your education so. >.<
That said, I like your games; this one is a solid 4/5.
- Why bother with spells? Seems you don't need them. At all. Ditto for pets. Nice features, but unnecessary.
- Crab crawler's double attack does not display the second hit's damage.
+ Decent music. One part of the battle music reminds me of good old Doom.
+ Quick battle animation. No yawning.
+ Good variety of enemies.
