I can share a very strange, but also funny and challenging experience. I don't know that how I did it, I'm sure that it is a glitch, on a practice, two razor queens appeared for me at the beginning. It is a very tough fight to try to defeat two razor queens on one screen, but sometimes I managed to do it. They excel at destroying each other, especially with their tail blade with what they can damage the another one any time when they touch each other. Funny, it's a pity that I don't know how to do it (however I got an infinite chance to rematch).
Whoa, one week ago, killed my first Razor Queen. And a second. I noticed, that Razor Glaive has a much bigger range than the ordinary sword, am I right? However, Razor Glaive is awesome (I killed a grinder and two glooples with one swing (attacked grinder twice before), and got 306 points).
I have full bestiary, but at the end of the Small Nests, always a simple Queen appears, not a razor queen. Is this coincidence or I have to do something?
VERY hard game. Killed a queen, though. And I still say that Grinders are not so hard as the descriptions suggest. After they ran into something that weakens them, it is very easy to get behind their back, and they can't turn, so it's simple to hit them five times (follow, hit when reached, and so on). I have the "kill four Grinders" badge, without the razor glaive.
And if they don't run to anything that weakens them, they just roll off the screen. Amalgams are a lot tougher and more annoying. :D
I must say that not only horrors but queens are overpowered (however queens can be killed by void eaters). I read that I can kill a queen when it is lunging. I've tried a lot of times but only 3 (4?) occasions were when I could splat a queen while lunging. In the others, it deflected it, even if she was lunging. I don't understand.
Now I got very annoyed. I kept the saw drone for the end of the nest, thinking that I need it. After I released it, it went out of the bounds and then came back, and guess what was the first thing it chopped to pieces? Me. :D It is funny when I think at it, but then it was annoying (I was over the half of the nest).
I think, that the game is very good, but sometimes it is ridiculously difficult. To defeat Void Eaters, luck is needed, Amalgams are extremly annoying and I must to kill 15 to get a badge, when they are just difficult to kill? Horrors are overpowered, Grinders could be defeated, if they didn't roll out of the screen before I can hit them.
CastleBravo: Yes, but it is not simple to avoid the spinning blades.
Very good, one of my favourites, but I think that the champions are too weak, both the Tech Team and the Blind are stronger in the semi-final (Tech Team are the toughest, though).
I completely agree with those who said that too many people are impressed only by graphics. I just can't understand why is that. Now most of the computer games are about nothing, but they have very good graphics and everyone buys them.
Rotflwaffles: I've told already, not long ago, that you don't need to fight your copies. Simply cast Sap Strength on the Corruptor. That will prevent him from copying you, and after that it's just too easy.
JSchmoo73, you confuse rangers with rogues. Colbud2: No, reward for Dreadfather is not nooby, Dreadfather's Visage is very good for a rogue what uses dagger. Kiraice: Use rogue's Sap strength, then the Corruptor won't have enough power to copy your men, and after that it's easy.
Now, I've tried both warrior and mage, and I must say that in overall warrior is stronger. Warrior needs points only spent on strength, it needs usage of power attack only what doesn't require too much power. Now, I fell into the mistake that I spent all the points of my mage on intelligence. Problem is, that he is used to running out of mana (still), but when I encounter a Champion Monster, it kills my mage with one blow.
Gorgon is the most powerful, followed by minotaur and finally the hydra. Hydras, when you have a rogue and a ranger or a mage, are very easy to kill. Minotaurs are just very powerful attackers, with a special ability what can be annoying but doesn't count too much, Gorgons have to be killed early.
Conjurors I didn't like so much. Dire Wolf and Wargolem are both a lot weaker than any of the people in your party, and bloodsprite and manasprite are too rarely needed. Call Soul is very good, though. But I think that a mage is better. And I think that Serpentine Band is a lot better than Ring of Boundless Energy (especially for a rogue, but it is lethal for any melee or bow user). I think that against all legendaries there is a good tactics, but I highly rely on my rogue when fighting against them (cripple is powerful, if you want to use your warrior's overwhelm on them, and poison helps to kill them, and against hydra, sneak attack poisons and kills very easily). If a rogue has the right equipment (Pestilence Blade, Mythic Shadow, Serpentine Band, Quicksilver Boots, Dreadfather's Visage, Demonhide Cloak - mine has all these items), then it becomes virtually invincible. His damage may be a lot higher than any, not mentioning their powerful poison attack.
Ah, I understand now. However, once my warrior had some 90 % resistance to damage, but to me, not resistance but reflection is important. It is a lot funnier when your warrior has a reflection of 130 %, and you see, as the enemy attacks and kills himself. :)
Entlee, I use warrior with sword, and sometimes spear (only until I get retribution). And, there is no legendary mace, but is a legendary sword, Hydra's Tooth, what a warrior can have but a cleric can't - and my warrior has it all the time because I kill a legendary monster each level. So, damage output is a lot higher using a warrior than a cleric.
Kiarice: It says that 400 % of the NORMAL resistance, so if your resistance is 10 %, then with that it will be 40 % against humans.
