I'm somewhat confused surrounding the Devoted, knowing where to assign them and so on. I have everything but the last building unlocked, but am not sure where to put my disciples, whether to devote the special ones, etc.
Also, once you've gotten all the upgrades, is there any point in getting more blessings? Gifts mean you can improve your buildings, but do more blessings do anything?
Hey there, I'll add some kind of bonus in the future, so Blessings aren't worthless after getting everything. Maybe I'll raise the level cap of some Upgrades, so you can still spend your Blessings. I'll see what I can do :)
Also, the zombies have health bars but no visible hit points, the AoE effects are scandalously weak, there grind is dull, takes too long, starts almost immediately and isn't even really avoidable by becoming a whale, the zombie kills daily mission doesn't count zombies killed on auto-runs so you have to manually run around a map at least a few times a day for that reward.
This game is very badly done.
Another problem with the game (one of many) - the second section of missions are all one extra energy, which means it's far more cost-efficient to do all the earlier ones. For such a grind-heavy game there should be an incentive to be doing the harder ones more often, but instead it will end up costing you more in ammo, experience, common materials, etc. Very poor choice.
How do I get it to save before logging off? I find that if I do a run and then claim my gems and spend my cash, next time I play I have to reclaim the gems and respend the cash.
The game is *supposed* to automatically save each time you close the game, but browser WebGL games tend to have problems triggering this "on quit" logic. I will add a manual "force save" button in the settings menu in the next update. A temporary solution until then is to quickly start and end a game after spending your resources. The game will automatically save after each game completion.
Well, that's one way to break the habit. It won't load from my HD save file after I had to clear my cookies, so all progress is lost. Definitely can't be bothered getting it back.
@arioch31 Thanks for the tip! The one time I tried to use the shop rather than the VIP cards during a minigame it crashed, so I figured that was off the table.
@Arioch31 I've been trying that, but I'm still only level 6 on it. But it sounds like I need more artifacts - I'm currently able to reach, but not beat, the 2nd boss.
I should stop playing as well, but I'm not quite at the completely futile stage.
Get them going fast enough, and on a 10-level the Underpass square man and I think the Greedy Tunnel Pass square man will go off the board entirely for a second, as if there are pills offscreen.
Skulls are for boosting the green chest cards when you open them. All of a sudden the gold runs and poison become far more important than DPS, at least until you get your DPS substantially boosted, and the skulls stop being useless and start being as valuable as the blue gems.
Once you've installed an augment there doesn't appear to be any way to find out what it does. Hovering for detail only works when it's not installed, not afterwards.
The bouncing karaoke ball is harder to program than you thought, hey. Not bad, but sometimes the very cute becomes twee and saccharine, which it does here at certain points. Also, always have a tutorial when introducing new mechanisms, but always make intros and outros skippable when you're expecting people to repeat a certain segment numerous times.
It's a sweet little concept with some good execution, and it could be a delight. This isn't there yet, but as a 0.2 it's pretty good.
Just in case anyone was wondering and still checks the comments: referrals don't work. There is no way to add friends through Kongregate that currently works. You will not be able to get reinforcement points or the daily gifts from the castle until the group behind it fix it, and it doesn't seem like they've made it a priority.
Yes, it sucks.
Where are the links to any future codes? I'm very glad we got the Christmas update, but I can find a single resource online like a wiki or a guide that's actually up to date with the version number.
