I mean, I really like this game and am glad it's getting attention, but how many times has it been badge of the day in the last few months?
I shouldn't complain, it could be so much worse. Just lamenting the lack of variety available in games to keep this old tradition going, I guess.
Finally past level 92. The solution involved essentially drawing a paper-clip, something I had tried half a dozen times but one time was suddenly successful. Really enjoyed the game until that one blip and the choice to add in a new, muddily-executed concept at level 98.
Kongregate has phases where a series of point and click adventure games becomes wildly popular and each new segment, no matter how bad, gets a badge and endless praise. They're usually a mild diversion at best that becomes an irritating slog.
These games are no exception, sadly. I get that there's some interesting writing in there at times, but I really just do not care, and the gameplay is too deficient to draw my attention. Read Aesica's comment, it was certainly more informative and interesting following those steps than the game itself could ever have been.
Also, people being mean to each other isn't inherently funny. It can be, but there's no overlap between the cruelty and actual wit in the games.
Now I get why the 11th floor doesn't fit - but I don't understand the point of the gunpowder room, especially as there doesn't seem to be a way to make more gunpowder. It would be nice, however unrealistic, if there was a way to do it with wood - it really loses its purpose.
Also, pro-tip: Never, ever sell bricks. Everything else (though it's better to sell planks than just wood) has a time when it's worth selling it, but you'll always, always need more bricks.
11th floor doesn't fit with the others. Working on 12th floor but haven't had anything new to upgrade since the helicopter (which I think comes on the 10th). Not sure everything that should have turned up to upgrade has turned up - it's not at all clear at several points where the next upgrade comes in. And yes, keeping the screen active gets increasingly pointless unless you're actively speeding up the lift, because no matter how much you increase the fans it remains incredibly slow.
I never complain about badged games, but this one really is pretty terrible. Not even just the writing, but the choices of camera movement, physical movement, inability to skip dialogue, no save point. Not worth playing.
Yeah, I quite liked it except that the lag got so horrendous I kept on dying. Ended up having to stay in one place and just keep placing mines while shooting and hoping the game wouldn't make me die again.
I haven't loaded my game or anything, but my hobbies speed has slowed right down - each second is taking multiple seconds to count down. Considering how they're already too long, this is a terrible bug to encounter.
