Needs a definite spelling polish. The use of power is completely undefined. The little matching game is also undefined. The achievement bonus money doesn't always get given. Buggy and not nearly as nice as I wanted it to be, sadly. 2/5
Rather lovely. I did appreciate how the differences weren't all 'one window has 97 panes, the other 98'. The birds and bees page, especially, could have had lots of infinitesimal discrepancies that would have been near-invisible, but instead they are subtle but findable. Nicely done.
Deducted a point for the holding of the fast forward button. I mean, really. Bad idea. Otherwise, a usually high entry into the monkeys vs balloons debate.
... Once I realised I had the wrong player keys first time around, I enjoyed the game a lot more. :) I still don't really get the musical creation system, and I can only speculate the bronze balls mean more points, and I've accepted that the odd moments of lag mean that I'll not get 100% - but it's basically a rhythm game. A la Guitar Hero. With some really, really nice touches. It's not my favourite type of music, but it's really, really well-made. Nice! 5/5.
You can't have all types of units at your disposal? There are some maps you simply won't be able to complete unless you have the right heroes - meaning if you need the right heroes to pop up? Many of the maps you only get one chance at, with no room for trial and error, and some you'll simply never get a chance to do properly unless you have the right hero combination?
That takes out so many things from the previous Protectors I enjoyed. If I make one mistake in a non-storyline map, I'll never get a chance to figure out how to right it. If I don't have the right hero available, I'm screwed.
Sorry, major steps backwards. Not a 1/5 - because I still like the Protector games - but definitely not a 5 anymore.
How high do you have to upgrade things to get them maxed? I thought getting to over 100% infection rate would help, but it didn't ever seem to run out...
Love the visuals and music, but a) shouldn't the dog poo (if it appears in the house image) be removed, not added, and the reverse-screens are much more difficult to navigate.
