@brainisdead: For the spikes, remember that you can move onto spike tiles that are CURRENTLY UP. So to get past 2 spike tiles in a row that are synchronized, you want to move back and forth until you are next to the spike tile while it is up, and then move onto it. Then move to the second spike tile, and then move into an open tile and you'll be safe. Finally, since the spike tiles operate in a cycle of 3 moves, it will take no more than 3 times moving between 2 blank tiles to cycle the spike tile so you can move onto the first spike cycle while it is up.
3/5 stars. The game would be 5/5 stars except for 3 issues. First, that there is no level select for the last level. You have to beat level 23 to get to level 24. Second, once you beat level 24 you have to refresh the webpage if you want to continue playing the game. Finally, if the chick is standing right beside an edge the game will occasionally think you have fallen and landed causing you to lose a heart when you haven't fallen. Again, other than those 3 things, the game would get 5/5 stars.
@Naud1234 and Athens1234: The game came out on Sep. 03, 2017. KekGames posted an update on Mar 9, 2018 saying he added 10 new levels to "celebrate Unpuzzle 2 release on Kongregate and big mobile version!" according to the Updates section to the right of the comments. If the game got its badges between the initial release and the update then that would explain why it says complete all 40 puzzles since during that time there was only 40 puzzles.
@Nitrinoxus: Check TadasGloom, the developers, reply in the Best Comments section to SadOne. He said that it is supposed to represent someone who has Alzheimer's disease and the effect it has on a person as the disease progresses.
Advice for people going for the medium badge/endless mode. There are 2 orbs you get as rewards which will double the amount of attack/defense/magic you get from assigning stat points. The first will be after clearing one of the first 5 stages. Since you need to clear 12 stages to get the medium badge, which also unlocks the Twisting Void which is an endless mode, it's best to wait to assign stat points until you get at least the first double orb since you will be less than halfway to the end of the game and getting extra points will be very helpful. The 2nd orb I got from a treasure monster on the 2nd floor of the Twisting Void, but that will probably require a bunch of grinding on the 12th stage to get very good equipment and level up to unlock skills if you don't use stat points. However, if you want to progress as far into the game as you can in addition to getting the medium badge then for maximum efficiency you should wait until the Twisting Void to assign stat points.
I think Lv. 2 was the hardest for me because I couldn't figure out the skulls movement pattern as it seemed random until I realized it would wait 1 of your moves, then on your 2nd move it would move in the direction that would take it on a path to get to you. The next hardest thing was realizing while you can't wait in a spot for an enemy to get near you, you could hit a box would waste a movement, allow an enemy like a bat to get beside you so you could kill it. Finally, when a spike is raised in a trap you can move onto the spike, but it will retract and not kill you. Once I realized these things the game became easy. Overall, 4/5 Stars from me. One big improvement is the game could use better instructions and explain the things I just mentioned in this comment.
@daexion: Um... you do realize visual novels are classified as a form of game? You might not like the genre, just like some people don't like platformers or shooters, but it is still considered a game as they are sold on game websites, found under games when you shop on eBay or Amazon, and apparently by Kongregate administrators as they accepted them. Oh, and only game that are near 4/5 stars or above can get badges, so apparently a bunch of gamers on this site considered this to be a game. It's just that the people who liked playing this like this genre, while a lot of other gamers on Kongregate despise this genre of game.
So, 4 of the 7 Badge of the Day for this week are from the Medieval Chronicle/Cop series. A whole bunch of people who dislike visual novels/storyline games are going to dislike this week and a whole bunch of people who like these games are going to really like this week.
For those people saying this is just a story and not a game, there is a LARGE amount of games called visual novels, with a couple notable examples being Phoenix Wright detective series and Steins Gate series. It's definitely different from racing, RPG, and platform games, but those 3 are also different from each other as well.
Pretty easy game. For new players, keep in mind some levels only have one solution while others have multiple solutions. So if you think there can be more than one solution to win and wondering which is the right one, there is a possibility that all of them are viable solutions and not that you are overlooking something.
@gigikun: To mute the music, click on the white dot on the upper-left of the game screen, and then a music note will appear on the upper-right. Click on that to turn off all noise, both from music and clicking on blocks. Also, clicking on the white dot will also cause arrows to appear on the bottom-left and bottom-right which will allow you to go to any stage you have unlocked.
For those people who can't play the game, I can play it on both Brave browser and Edge browser on Windows 10. People will have to try using Brave browser on Mac or Linux to see if it work there also.
5/5 Stars from me. The only bad thing is that you can't go to the "You beat the game." map at will even after you beat Level 18. Also, the "My Homepage" is a dead link now, but that isn't really part of the game. The "Support Me" link to the developer's Patreon page is still working, though it looks like has only has one patron right now.
For those going for the BotD and wondering how far you have to go into the game to get the "Drops of a Hat Badge", the first level you run into enemies is level 12. Just beat that level 5 times and you've got the BotD if you really don't want to complete the game and just want the badge.
@Athens1234: Given the reputation of the doctor based on the information we get about him from all the games in this series, I would avoid that doctor completely. A doctor who can get you in touch with body organ harvesters doesn't sound like someone I want to trust with my health...
Maybe I'm getting tired doing these puzzles, but this game feels like it is far worse than the original game. The original game had enough clues that each puzzle could be figured out logically, while this game starting from Level 10 feels more like using guesswork and using the clues as a way of verifying your guessing is correct. The original I gave 4/5 stars but this one I'm giving 2/5 stars.
As others have mentioned it would be nice if you could select a square and cross off which numbers can't go in it, and the sum numbers should be changed so they turn red if the row or column count is too high, but other than that great game, 4/5 stars.
