Does anyone know how to have the game NOT lose all save data after a browser is closed? I keep the save data if just the tab is closed, but if the entire browser is closed I lose all data. I've tried both Chrome and Firefox and both have the save data deleted upon closing the browser, which makes it really annoying if I have progressed a lot and then have to restart from the beginning simply because I closed the browser. I also checked settings and I don't see anything that says data should be cleared on exit.
@KaiserDragon: If you're referring to Level 7, then it is actually not MissingNo. MissingNo is a backward L, while Level 7 has a regular facing L. It would have been fun if MissingNo was included though.
@Naud1234: "The point of anything that's not a book is "Show, don't tell"." Um, can you clarify that statement? Because, I'm pretty sure that I use my ears for more than just listening to music.
I got the badge May 31, 2021, but I remember liking the game, so I decided to play it again. I beat my score from them with a "Fastest time: 18:01.229" or 1,081,229 ms in the leaderboard. I guess the game was good enough the I remembered generally what needed to be done even after 17 1/2 months.
@Slayer1331: I was able to get the badge. You may want to try closing the webpage and re-opening it. That usually fixes unreceived badge issues. If that doesn't work, after re-opening go win another battle and then see if it works If it still, doesn't then I can't think of anything else you can do other than report a missing badge.
@Dundas: Actually, ALL console games are cookie cutter games. The console has a library of code, and the cartidges/discs that have the games call the code, which allow the games to use much less space then the PC equivalent usually. However, the fact that the Medieval series were made with RPG Maker which has a library that is SOLELY for tile RPGs and no racing, sports, etc. does make it more obvious about being "cookie cutter". As a side note, the RPG Maker games that are like Pokémon where you have tiles you walk around on the main map, battles where you select moves, and health bars definitely use more of the library, but on the other hand there is no reason to have those things in a comedy detective game like this.
@brandon_mdog: All chat rooms were transferred to Discord several months ago. Here's the invite link: https://discord.com/invite/Kongregate. It is very... quiet, at least compared to how Kongregate was 5 years ago. I'm half pleased, but also half surprised that Kongregate is even STILL up since no new games are added, and most are not easily playable since they require Supernova Flash Player or equivalent. The top-left of each webpage says "128,477 free games!" but it used to say how many free games and how many people were playing them. It used to never get below 10,000 and usually was 30,000 - 40,000 if I remember right , but I'd be surprised if it ever gets above 10,000 now. I only keep playing and getting BotD because I've been playing here since 2009, and I hope Kong Admin gets their act together and works on getting the website back to how it used to be. I definitely wouldn't start playing on this website if I was a new person.
random_d00d was right, a lot of these puzzles do look like Piet Mondrian paintings. An example is "Broadway Boogie-Woogie, 1942 by Piet Mondrian": https://www.piet-mondrian.org/broadway-boogie-woogie.jsp.
@MClass: Back when we had Flash games still, it was probably close to 10 years for some developers since they last logged in. We had games as BotD going back to 2006 and we were still getting Flash games in early 2021. Here's a list of badges, sorted by oldest: https://www.kongregate.com/badges?sort=oldest. Dates listed are when the games were published. The oldest badged game I saw was The Fancy Pants Adventures (https://www.kongregate.com/games/DrNeroCF/the-fancy-pants-adventures) and was put on Kongregate on Oct. 18, 2006 .
Back on Sep. 19, 2021 JagpreetS1 made a comment that he beat the last level without getting the left regain. I decided to try the level and confirmed it is possible to beat the left level without getting the left regain that is in the top-right corner.
I decided to find KonCompletionist's comment since SataiDelenn mentioned it, and found it in Best Comment history on page 2. It gave information on how to beat level 2. Why people would get stuck on level 2 though, I don't know.
Great game, only thing preventing it from being 5/5 stars is that there is no level select. Once you reach the final level you go back to the very beginning with no way to select which levels you would like to play again. Also, not needed for 5/5 stars but a neat idea, would be to have a race mode to go from beginning to end as fast as possible.
@dalek: You can still walk on the blocks as long as they are ONLY one tile below the visible screen. Simply stand on one of the two middle tiles (the ones that have down arrows,) have one of the columns drop 2 tiles, then fall off onto the other column that is between the coin and star, have that column drop 2, and you'll look like you're standing on nothing. Just grab the star on the right and then the coin on the left.
@puglover123: This is a BotD (again) because Kongregate decided to stop allowing new games, didn't work with Supernova or some other group to get Flash programs to continue working, so we're now cycling though maybe 50-200 different badges for BotD instead of the thousands of badges that are on Flash games and hundreds if not thousands of badges on HTML games if Kongregate started allowing new games again.
I'm not saying we have to have a full week's worth, but if Kongregate is going to give us multiple Medieval Chronicle games week after week we may as well get them in order.
