It took me until Lv. 14 to realize I didn't need to worry about accidentally killing other humans with my chainsaw. You only need to worry about killing humans directly when you are shooting.
@Kivuntappaja: The bot chooses things purely at random unless Kong admin purposefully chooses the BotD for times when certain games are in the same genre as the Kongpanion for the week, which in that case those games are generally chosen.
I'm using Edge to play this, and I don't know why, but this annoying thing happens that whenever the logo appears at the beginning of the game a new tab opens up going to Newgrounds. It would also be nice that once you beat the game you can redo any ending so that your first ending mentioned on the home screen will change instead of having to redo the entire game to change it. Other than that, great game, 4/5 Stars from me.
Actually, I started playing it again, and I remember now why I gave it 3/5 stars. There is one stage near the end where the ball start at the left and requires a bumper/spring that uses the spacebar to hit the ball right where the bumper is not quite low enough to hit the ball and it takes several taps of the spacebar before the game will finally register that the bumper hit the ball. Also, there is no level select. If you want to replay a stage you have beaten you have to restart from the very beginning.
Some of the stages are super easy, followed by a very hard one, followed by several super easy again. Ignoring the problem of how the difficulty level doesn't progressively increase but instead bounces around like a ball the game is good. (Bounces around like a ball while the game involves a ball...)
"Well, it's an ordinary egg. It can be thrown at someone, or hatched into a chicken, or simply cooked and eaten." I would think normally cooking an egg would come to mind before throwing it at someone...
@Naud1234: You can tell which badge will be the BotD by looking at the icon for it. Since the badge being shown for "Tales of Nebezem: Gnomish Plot" which will be tomorrow's BotD has a swirly icon, that means that the BotD be the easy badge "Absolutely Frabjous Badge".
@Naud1234: 5 minute game tag simply means that it will be a short game that is closer to 5 minutes to complete then 1 hour or more to complete. They will also generally be able to be finished in 5 minutes without using any cheats once you know what you're doing.
@Coren: I also noticed I got into the habit of having a specific color be the last one when a stage had more than one solution. I think it's because we got in the habit in previous stages that certain colors have to be the last one we choose so we get in the habit of looking for a certain color to be last for the stages with more than one solution. Anyway, great game, 5/5 stars, and I'm glad the bouncing/jiggling issue from the original COLORUID that would occasionally cause one of the units to get separated from the main group forcing a restart was fixed.
There's an issue with Lv. 13 where the green in the upper-left and the orange in the upper-right can get *squeezed* out from the rest of the blobs due to the bouncing/jiggling. It took me 5x choosing the exact same blobs to turn into a selected color before I didn't have one square separated from the rest due to the bouncing/jiggling.
Besides the horrendous memory leak bug, the game is good. The enemies attacks can be dodged, upgrades don't take too much grinding, so except for the bug this game deserves 4 or 5 stars.
This game has one of the worst memory leaks I've every seen. After beating 2 of 3 bosses it was going so slow that any keyboard inputs took 5 seconds to register and eventually the game just crashed and lost all my save progress. 1 of 5 stars from me.
SPOILER PART 2 FOR BOSS, IGNORE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE ENDING SPOILED: Now that you have the defense down, you can store up energy to attack. You will see a blue square and yellow square behind Tesla. Once you've save up enough energy spawn a ball, and get that ONE ball to hit both squares, and then have Tesla eat it. Do this 3 times without letting any bricks past you and you win. As mentioned in my 1st of 4 posts this will take several hours to grind enough points to beat the game to get the hard badge, and my total points spend according to the upgrade screen was 48,504 when I finally won. However, with this you won't have to spend a few times reaching the end dying until you figure out how to beat the boss. :)
SPOILER PART 1 FOR BOSS, IGNORE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE ENDING SPOILED: This is for those who want to know why you need Shot Power +7, Charge Shot +4, and Charger +3. The boss you will fight is Tesla who has been turned into a human-spider hybrid. When he appears he will drain ALL your energy and then start eating your balls. You will need Charger +2 at a minimum for this part to regain your energy IF YOU ARE PERFECT, so really you need +3, preferably +4. Try to bounce your balls away from him to gain as much energy as you can from your Charger because after Tesla eats all your balls he will send a wave of 8 reinforced bricks with skulls toward you, and you will still die if the bricks get by you. The Shot Power +7 will defeat the bricks. You want to wait until Tesla spawns 3 of them, do one shot which should reach the bricks just as the 4th brick spawns, and dodge to the right. Repeat again for the last 4 bricks. This should mean you only have to do 2 shots per wave.
For those wanting to know how to REACH the boss, the trick is to grind efficiently by collecting coins which will appear very frequently between 64 waves left until the end. Just work on buying different upgrades each time you lose based on whatever you need most to continue progressing. As an example, the FIRST TIME I reached the END I had Num Balls +5, Num Shots +6, Ball Power +3 MAX, Shot Power +6, Over Charge +15, Charge Shot +5, and Charger +2. This will allow you to use the Over Charge shots to kill the skulls with a buffer room of 15 shots. You can then just get in a rhythm of clicking the mouse at a set pace and just focus on collecting the energy from your balls and collecting coins and you don't even have to worry about the skulls because your charge shots will kill them. I was getting around 4,000 points per run with this setup.
Here's a repeat of my post from the last time "Credits Where Credits Are Due Badge" was the BotD. For those playing this game to get the "Credits Where Credits Are Due Badge" BotD for Friday, April 16, 2021, it will take about 5 plays to reach 1,000 points. You get 10 points for each wave of bricks you defeat and 10 points for each coin you collect (why not just have each coin and wave give 1 point and just divide the price of upgrades by 10 I don't know.) Anyway, just get a total combination of 100 by passing waves or collecting coins to get the Easy badge for the BotD. For the Hard badge, be prepared to spend several hours. There is a boss after getting past all the waves. To BEAT the boss, you'll want at least a Shot Power +7, Charge Shot +4, and Charger +3. As for why, I won't post it here because I don't want to spoil the surprise. :)
