Oh, and I second john6432's suggestions.

Cool concept. Nice graphics. Needs a pause button, though. And a restart option. Making even one mistake can cause you to lose so much mass that there's little point to continuing.

Looks interesting. Nice idea. Needs a mute button. Also, shouldn't full Tetris lines disappear?

Nice game. Simple, but well done. Do wish there was a way to mute SFX as well as music, though.

Mute works only partially for me. It turns the music off, but not the sound effects.

Seems interesting, but it'd be better if we could see the scoring rules.

Good game. Nice idea. Relaxing but challenging. Except that it gets a little frustrating after a while as the screen scrolls in unexpected directions, forcing you without warning into heavily lined areas. Also, circling the checkpoints takes valuable time as the screen continues to scroll along.

I do like the way your health affects the brightness of the screen, but it was so gradual on the way down that I didn't notice it until I took a healing potion, which jumped it back up. On another note, I do wish there was a way to get to the inventory screen from the shop, especially since I don't see a display of how much money you have anywhere but in the shop. So if you find you're *almost* able to afford a weapon upgrade, for example, you'd be able to see that, sell your old weapon, and buy the new one. Also, I seem to have hit another bug. I ended a level in darkness/blindness. The next level started in semi-darkness, and now that's all I get. The background is blacked out, but I can still see myself, the enemies, and the dropped loot.

Ah, seems it's a bug. Once I bought a melee weapon, I was able to switch to that and from that to the spell. The game just wouldn't let me switch to the spell unless I had a melee weapon equipped, too.

How do you use spells? Am I missing something? I bought a spell and equipped it, but I can't find any button that lets me use it. Otherwise, it's a good game. Fast-paced, good progression, nice graphics, well put together.

Would be nice if there was more documentation to this game, really. I like the idea of it. It's fun to play around and see what you can do and how you can affect your apprentice. But the in-game playguide is incomplete, to say the least. The "Char Info" section appears to just cut off. Several sections are missing. (Also, there are a fair number of minor grammatical errors.) As for the vaunted external strategy guide... it's nice, but it's two pages long and contains only a bare sketch. Mostly supplemental information that could easily have been included in the game itself. So, while it's nice that the game is so open-ended, it would be nicer if there was some hint about what your options are, what (in general) you might want to aim for, what different things do and mean, etc. In short... it's a good game, but not quite out of what I'd consider Beta Testing.

(Continued from below.) The third Donald had attack ability, little to no defenses, no reputation, nothing that would avail him anything should he encounter the weakest of monsters. When he left, no one came to see him off. He was a highly skilled churchman and banker, but he grew up to be... A Brilliant Poet. A tier 4 result. Higher than most of the results I see bragged about in the comments here. How very odd.

So far, I've raised up three apprentices, all named Donald. (Really, what other name can you give the apprentice?) The first was intended to be a battle mage, but it didn't work out so well and so I wasn't surprised when he grew up to be Completely Unknown. The second was raised to be an unparalleled fighter. He grew strong and skilled and gained a significant reputation, while maintaining decent morals and humility and little sin. When he left, the whole town turned out to wish him well, and he grew up to be... Completely Unknown. I'd been tasked with training a hero, but it didn't seem to be going well. So I decided perversely to train up an apprentice who would be completely useless in combat. (TBC)

It's an interesting idea. Not my favorite in the series, but it works. Wish there was a way to speed things up, though. Or at least to skip to the next day when there's nothing you can do but wait for the clock to run out so you can get new income and give new orders.

It's a good start. Nice look, decent control. A bit more challenge/variety would be good. And under no circumstances should a futuristic racing hovercar make a wacky "boing" sound when it jumps.

Nice game. A lot of fun. Gets kind of crazy. I like the upgrade system. Music and look are classic. The thing for me is that the bosses are too easy. You can literally fly circles around them and pretty much never take a hit. On the other hand, by the time you get to the end of the level/round, you're grateful for the breather the boss fight brings. The larger enemy types that shoot back take a lot of damage, even with well upgraded weapons. Things start to feel a little unbalanced that way. I do like the awards system. It's a nice touch. Be nicer if the graphics were a little better on that, though. Speaking of graphics, it'd be good if the graphic for your current health didn't look exactly like the health repair pickups. Can throw you off a little when you glance up and see it there in the midst of everything else... Overall, though... great job! :)
