Combat is waaaaaaaaaay too random. Sometimes my fully decked out troop hits for 11 - sometimes for 35 on a city. Sometimes the city hits me for 11, sometimes it hits for 42. I literally cannot buy any better weapons or armors and can't find anyone stronger to hire. It is not possible for me to get the badge for 10 cities. Agree witih dtmickey, so much potential for a game wasted. 2/5
Wow. How does this possibly have over a 3? The wishful thinking? The random tiles (as everyone else has said) ruin this game. Just one break in the ring shouldn't kill you in early levels. Later on once you have more powerups, maybe. Losing on level 1 because luck is against you just isn't right. Having to start over completely isn't right. Otherwise this could be a fantastic puzzle game. 1/5
Odd theme but certainly has a strong Metroid vibe with the additional items and re-exploring old areas with new powers. Would like to have seen some secrets and side quests or something, it's a bit too linear. Basically, you get a power, find the one new place to use it, rinse, repeat, get cat, win. Badges are a plus and overall a pretty good game. 4/5
Just as stupid and mediocre as the first one. Poor interface, no instructions, too complex for very little fun or depth. The battles are just retarded. A very, very confident 1/5.
Wow that was hardly a game. Holding left and right, so exciting. Why does a useless, meaningless 5-minute game like this get a badge when there are plenty of other meaty, deep, fun games that don't have them? 1/5
Why does Yellow use S instead of space like the others? Confusing. Not too bad of a platformer, good artwork and ideas but just doesn't hold my interest and quickly becomes an endeavor in frustration. 3/5
Not enough variety in spells, towers, and enemies. Waves take too long, can't send more than one at a time. A few spelling mistakes are irritating. Not enough cash flow to use up all of the mixture components. Some good ideas but not deeply implemented enough. 2/5
I love how on the last 'take over' level, he gets giant dudes and as soon as I attack his castle, he apparently gets a x10 spawn rate. I also hate the card system - you randomly win cards? I'm max level and can't get any more cards - where are my big units?! 2/5
Hmm, a good game except for one thing - the bridge level in the beginning. Falling off due to poor ground detection/art is an instant death? That's far too harsh a penalty, or those gaps need to be made clearer and smaller. I've had a foot on the bridge yet and fallen off. 4/5
Well, somewhere here is a good game I'm sure, but not one I'll ever find. Mission levels of stupid amounts of random enemies able to shoot you from offscreen, behind walls, etc. You just can't fight back. Also, civilians being killed in apparently one hit, yet some able to withstand 10 or more hits - it's silly. Also the way the missions flow is pretty confusing and could have been far cleaner. 1 point for gameplay, 1 point for music, 2/5.
If I ever figure out why I get 0 stars on some and 1-2 stars on others, I'll be happier with the game. Also, if I speed run completely through a level and still can't get 3-stars, I'm never going to give this game a 5 as it requires reflexes I apparently just don't have. 3/5 for now, possibly a 4 if there is some tutorial I can find or something on this stupid rank system.
Hmm, just simply too many balloons and not enough power. Will try a different upgrade path one more time but if it sucks as much, going to have to leave it as a 2/5. No depth to the game really.
It's just too boring and the difficulty scales too slowly. Too many clicks to accomplish goals, could use some keyboard shortcuts. If it gets badges, I'll trudge through it, otherwise no thanks. 2/5
As others have said, very fun but far too easy. Assault rifle annihilates everything - heck, even the Uzi makes quick work of just about the entire screen.
