Shouldn’t the controls be the most important part of a precision-based game? Then why are they so incredibly unresponsive? Playing through this mess simply to get the badges makes me feel like a prostitute.
You don't need a good computer. I've said it before. If you have a DECENT (as in, within the last five years) computer with the latest drivers and flash plugin and you close other windows (esp. bloated stuff like outlook and iTunes) this game WILL NOT lag.
My response to this game in the first 6 levels:
Wow, this game is kind of quirky and fun!
My response to this game by level 8:
Wow, this game's controls are WAY too unresponsive and imprecise to enjoy this!
Pissing me off ... Run 'n Gun
Got perfect on the rest of the songs but this stupid thing. The doubles ignore button presses about 1/10 times... and considering how many doubles there are, my chances of ever getting a perfect are zilch. It's awful and I'm taking a star off for it - I hate glitches.
Gonna have to agree with infiniti here
The only thing that makes the game hard is the terrible, terrible AI. I realize that is what makes the game unique but it is also what makes the game hard (in the bad way) and very frustrating. I want to love the game but when I think about it, honestly, it's not that good.
People remember Asteroids for having lousy controls, so I'm not sure why you'd want to PRESERVE them here. You seem to have made it even worse by slowing everything down to a crawl, turning and moving. Then you've made it incredibly easy.
The game is pretty but I've got nothing else nice to say. 1/5
For all the people with lag:
It's not the game, and it's not because you need a supercomputer. It's because you're not taking care of your computer. Update your video card driver and get the lastest flash plugin. This game can run FINE on a PoS laptop from 6 years ago.
Love this game in concept. The addition of more buttons to the game (4 to 7) is a real hit.
Unfortunately the songs themselves are not well done, nor are the "steps" or "arrows" or whatever you'd like to call them. The engine is solid but I recommend finding experienced stepfile makers to help making the next batch of music (if there is a sequel).
I really like this game, but one thing I would like is a counter on the menu screen of direct hits, disabled, etc.
Not just for the badge, I just like that kind of thing.
Also, why does use of building 2 screw up the counts so bad?
Right, forgot to comment. The game is good I think, but there are some issues - mainly, whenever I hit retry, the chances of the game successfully retrying are pretty low. Either I can't fire my gun (can move and all, just not fire), or much better, I am a corpse on the ground, moving around and somehow able to shoot but the bullets don't appear. Either way it's pretty broken.
When it works, though, it's a 4 star game. So I give it three stars.
