RIP old friend. Perhaps the pinnacle of flash as a platform. So many hours spent. Of course I am sad to come back and see it completely dead but I guess all things must run their course. Overwhelming nostalgia just looking at it.
Loaded with artificial difficulty; forces you to spend upgrades before repicking family so you have to respec more, buy units blind with no idea it's upgrades or abilities. Not being able to replay levels was a nice touch though.
I really want to like this game. But the ai is so bad that allies are mostly useful for blindly walking back and forth to distract enemies so you can attack them when they walk towards an enemy on the other side of the map. Endgame is mostly kiting in circles then using special abilities.
No campaign map. No unlockable units. No different defense maps. Just upgrades and killing. The beauty of this game is its simplicity. No need to muck about with learning curves and complex upgrade paths.
Fun game, fast paced and enjoyable. My only real complaint is that medic seems a bit overpowered so you don't get to play the way the game was meant to be played.
Anyone else bothered by the ugly menu and the fact that between every transition between maps you have to wait for an icon to come up and advertise the dev's site?
