I don't like it. The controls are awful and the screen seems cluttered. Is this another lousy tablet port? There are way better games in the same genre.
This game sure brings me back. It reminds me of my childhood when everyone and his brother would try their hand at making flashgames on newgrounds. Not only is it unoriginal, with dozens of games with the same exact premise and gameplay, but boring. Simple controls, generic graphics. The only modern aspect is that it looks like a straight port from a phone and tablet game.
Great. Amazing and well polished game. I am a bit bias because I enjoy this genre, but this has to be the second best one I've seen. And it references the best one. The upgrade system is fast paced and doesn't leave you grinding.
I hate this genre. It is boring, repetitive, and awkward. That being said this game is remarkably well made. It looks good, it performs well, the upgrades are clever and straightforward.
Yet another game optimized for mobile with flash as an afterthought. Released more as a commercial than anything else. As such we get no multiple unit selection, no keyboard shortcuts, and no quick way to switch from one side of the map to the other.
Aside from that you can steamroll everything by spamming ranged units.
Hmm... So I tried to make a level. I can load my level fine on their site but whenever I try to load it here it crashes the game on the second bubble and I have to refresh. Why even publish a game here if you aren't going to take it seriously?
Its still a pretty good game, but a step down for the series. I'm not sure why this bulky and complicated design system feels like it has fewer options than the last bubble tanks. Small tanks have always had an advantage in these games, but never to this extent. A small tank can have just as much, if not more, firepower than a huge tank. They get the best weapons, and the only trade off is a small amount of health. Wouldn't be bad if there were some health regen available for large tanks, but it is restricting to small tanks only. Has anyone here had any success with a large tank? Where as any size 1 tank can still use 12 gun points, A size 1 tank with piercing burst and leech can just swim around in circles and fire at the center until everything is dead. Also I don't like the sense of exploring random bubbles, being able to move in any direction, being able to play randomly by swimming around, downgrading if you get popped, and replaying to discover the upgrades.
Facebook has done more to destroy flash gaming than apple and consoles combined. I can't really blame a developer for making a facebook exclusive like this though. They offer a much wider audience and a lot more money. Still the result is a much worse experience for the consumer.
