Hard achievement rewarded upon reaching floor 16 instead of beating it. Good! Look at how many bosses there are there. Honestly the game becomes a bit of a chore after you achieve everyone's dreams.
I don't understand how the negative meaning of the word "cunning" seems to have been forgotten by people on Kongregate altogether. Yes, cunning can be a synonym for mischievous or sneaky, or someone that would pocket some of the quest rewards for themselves.
The combo bonuses on "out of time" mode get a bit out-of-hand, to the point that when I died, I had 19 minutes on the clock. The limiting factor becomes garages/churches rather than time all too quickly.
Seems to be rather difficult to not fight the ancient evil on floor 2, both playthroughs have put me against it. I'm liking the concept, and hope there will be an infinite mode. Also the game seems to encourage you to kill off your party members in order to keep health high - there should be a way to either heal outside of battle, or a penalty for losing party members. I vote the former.
Every time party members die, the threat rises, which is probably why the Ancient Evil appears early for you. Triggering the Ancient Evil before reaching his temple makes him MUCH stronger than if you manage to reach him on level 4.
I guess when there's so many different bonuses and upgrades, balancing things (not making them too easy) can be a challenge. I ended up beating episode 3 at level 24, that is, before I unlocked the episode 2 boss challenge. The heal pack seems kind of overpowered, all you need to do is stall until it drops and you'll be fine going up against any boss.
Want to chime in that the "bark at the moon" achievement does not seem to be working, killing a direwolf while afflicted with wolf bite. That aside, it's been an excellent game and I'm sure people will eat it up once it's released. I do get a bit of lag when there's too much environment and shadow work going on, but I'm guessing there's no helping that, and with a bit of patience it's a non-issue.
Nonsense! wizard996, just about everything causes more casualties than sharks a year. We can't determine whether something is dangerous or not by comparing it to shark casualties because there are less than a hundred worldwide every year! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shark_attack
To add to my previous comment, pause button (P) is your friend here. Use it every time you're ready to make an action (build, cast, change state), and you're going to have an easy time. Otherwise I assume it's possible that the game's pace might make it a little harder.
This game was incredibly easy all throughout, except for a short point around stage 4-5 and trying to do the 'no seeding' challenges too early. The easiest high-budget strategy game I've ever played.
For anyone having trouble (I hope not), just max out cash/mana generation, cost reduction (extra units) and fireball (damage path) and you basically win.
Getting massive amounts of lag when the screen starts getting really busy (overrun with 0.5fps giants in wave 9, flawless score up to that point). My computer isn't too hot, but it should be more than enough for this sort of game. What's the deal?
Anyone happen to know where the last bow (bottom row right side) is, or is it not in the base game? I think that's the last chest I'm missing, if the bow exists. Would appreciate a PM or should response.
Darn, looks like I found 294/295 chests on my first playthrough, without using the guide. Well damn, I'm not about to open the guide and trek through everything again, so, that'll do. :P
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!! :X
