While the game itself may be decent, there are some issues with "bullets" passing through the shield if not within the middle (approx) 70%. Also, this game gets boring so fast for me that even doing the easy badge is something I may very well not get through any time soon... after all, there's no movement, no changes of scenery no character interactions, etc., etc... 3/5
I have to say that's it's nice to see a mellow yet highly replayable game on here. The soudntrack was also an excellent choice. All in all, 5/5... (742k my first play too...lol)
Simple yet wonderfully executed game, that reminds me of the one played on Hackers in a way. Even though it may give me a slight case of motion sickness after a time, I still give it high marks. ;)
I really like where this game is going, however, like so many others have already said, this game is simply too hard to play. The courses from the second hole on just become ridiculously hard due to what is simply poor planning and execution. My first time out, I was already close to being 20 over par by the third hole, simply due to impossible angles and overly complicated layouts.
This game actually presents a fairly good combo of tower defense and fantasy games, albeit in a very simple 2-D way that somewhat reminds me of the original Warcraft. All in all, a good game for what it is, although as some other have pointed out, the maps could use a little bit of work, etc...
this game is pretty good for it's type... however the controls don't really seem to work as smoothly for jumps as I would like. Mainly, it seems like a straight jump and a small sideways jump are there just fine, but a diagonal jump isn't truly intuitive yet, as you have to jump up first, and then try to go over... although you never quite seem to make it as far as you logically should be able to. All in all though, 3/5.
For a puzzle game, this is actually pretty good, IMO. It definitely has a few familiar qualities about it, but it's still well made. My only concern though is that there doesn't seem to be any real use to wandering off the main road, even though there are so many small towns on the outskirts... Then again, I only visited 3 of them on the first screen before giving up on looking. Who knows... maybe once in a while you might find something there like new spells, etc., seeing as the vultures on the second screen list Poison as their weakness. All in all, I'd give this a 2/5 +1 for effort from what I could stand to go through.
I used to play this game on ArmorGames a couple of years back when I couldn't sleep... Once you get the forcefield, the game really just becomes pointless. Come to think of it, I've still never bothered to finish this one just because of the high boredom factor setting in after getting the final upgrade. (That, and the sense of motion sickness I get after playing it after a while...lol) Well animated, and a good concept, but it simply needs more to it, and a better movement system that doesn't cause nausea from screen jumping. 3/5
Neither Bubbles 2, or rotaZion seems to be putting the scores through...... So, hopefully what someone else said about us getting our points and cards later on tonight was right.
This game has potential, but is quite simply too hard to figure out what is really useful for what. If you are a medical student or doctor, some of the secondary ratings such as gram +, etc. may be useful to know... otherwise, you can't even really be sure if what you're putting out there is even helping.
While this game looks somewhat promising, and the music is like something out of an early 90's action flick, the extremely poor handling of the "paddle" just kills it for me. Then again, I'm not a big fan of "floating" when it comes to game controls. I prefer a more linear control method myself. Not having any form of pause also really hurts this one IMHO. 2/5
After reaching level 21 on my first attempt before dying, I can say that it is very likely able to be beaten in one shot.... However, not being able to select the level I died on to retry it, or otherwise have some sort of a "save" function does tend to kill the desire to replay what is otherwise an incredibly well done game. Knowing myself though, I will most likely try again at some point when I have another hour and a half to kill.
This game has great potential... but the concept is so easy to master that we could really use at least twice as many levels. That, or give the game a more aggressive AI.
karate02- If you re-read my my comment, you will note that I was talking about making it so that you can organize the items you are selling... Also, while you are correct that you are able to organize items by type that you are buying, you are incorrect on being able to organize it by price, as there is no feature for that in either buy or sell mode.
In hindsight... there is one thing that somewhat bugs me about this game, even though it is something small. That is the store... To put it simply, we should be able to organize the items by type and by cost. That way when we're cleaning out our inventory, or adding new items, it would be far easier and faster. Not having to wait until you find a portal scroll in the first place would be handy too, but it wouldn't be very realistic to have a magical 7-11 pop up on every level either... so maybe the scrolls could be found in groups of two or three?
This is easily the best 2D dungeon crawler I've played in a long time. While there could be more of an interaction with the storyline, it would honestly defeat the purpose of a crawl. As for lag, etc... I experienced none... then again, I have a CORE 2 DUO E6850 3.0G proc and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM (pc28500). Chances are, this game is simply grinding older computers a bit, just like most RPGs tend to do. 5/5 IMHO ;)
First off, the game's screen is TINY... As for the actual game play itself, it is a decent idea for a story... but the A=Jump is really a poor choice for controls. Also, the game play itself is rather slow and could really use a shot of adrenaline here and there... All in all, a good game though if you like walking and talking. ;)
This game would be far more addictive if we could simply have a "Retry" button as opposed to having to drop back to the main menu every time the goal isn't met.
The game has a nice look to it, and it plays well, however it quickly becomes a bit repetitive, much like say 1942 would after a few levels. Aside from that though, it's a novel approach to an old standard worth trying once or twice.
