Y'know I really love it when a game doesn't keep my progress - it's absolutely great to spend a couple of hours on a game, only to come back later and find I have to start again! Best thing ever.....
Just a warning: If you finish the game, don't click the button for the secret. It takes you to the dev blog but it doesn't open in a new tab. So when you come back, you might lose all of your progress
Constantly stopping all production when I run out of energy really takes the "idle" out of this idle game. It'd be nice if you walk back through the buildings / robots and remove production from them until energy is positive again. Or possible reduce operativity% from everything equally until energy issues are fixed.
If you're playing a new game, it should've automatically equipped (and just use arrow keys to move). That error is a bug that some really old saves get when converting to the latest version, you can fix it by hitting Ctrl+Shift+D to open the dev console, then paste this code and hit enter: setFlag("allow_hotkeys", true)
There's some very noticeable lag when a ranged enemy gets line of site on the player. There's also noticeable input lag when you first enter a room and after you pick up a chest. The backwards crossbow will sometimes fire slower, or not at all - more seems to be worse when near the top wall. Bosses could do with a life bar, but not essential. The player's hitbox could do with an icon (the clover makes it smaller, but by how much?). The zooming is really annoying, especially with ranged enemies. It's a decent start, but all these issues means the game definitely needs polish to be a good game.
Nice job on the new UI. One thing that bugs me, though, is that each of the ships' upgrades are different levels even though they give the same bonus. For example my Shadow's repair is level 72 and Razor's repair is 112, but they both give 83.2M/s. This is slightly annoying when I'm trying to equalise upgrades between my ships as I'd look at the level and try to match them.
When I try to create a new character, I get the following error:
"The page at http://kongregate2.kings.gamefuse.com says:
User login timeout, please login again!"
I'm then taken to a 404 page within the game (I still have the bar at the top with "buy gold" etc on, and the bottom bar with server/local time/etc).
Does anyone have a fix for this?
I just get a black screen. I change tab and come back and I get the loading sounds screen. Change and back again and I get some images, click one, in/out again and I get the first puzzle. I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to be like this, right? I did this until the 3rd puzzle, but then I got a black screen and couldn't get it to go away.
Just lost my progress, anyone got an idea why this might have happened? I don't clear Kongregate's cookies and I don't have anything cleaning them up that could have accidentally done it.
I was a little underwhelmed to be honest. The combat was much too easy, same Bubble Tanks tactic of wandering around in a circle and firing into the centre got me half way on the starter ship - at which point I got bored and bought another ship.
There's not enough room for upgrading (as many others have said), but I don't think "give us 5 and we'll do it" is good enough incentive. Surely with the amount of people telling it to you now, it should have got picked up in testing?
As for "unique" ships across the races, "meh" is my response. The ships didn't seem overly unique to me, most of the races seemed the same.
The dialogue got rather same-y so I just started to ignore it after a while.
However, I did keep playing, so that keeps your mark up: 2/5
Ugh, I can't create a Demon or Ascended character, even though I've completed the campaign for both in the previous game (badge on the other game says 6th Jan, so I guess it was a while back). Is there anything I have to do to start a campaign as one of those characters? Please PM me with replies as I'm sure I'll miss it if you comment here :)
Well I'd like to play this game, but like others have said, the tutorial is a little ridiculous. Trying to get passed the guard is irritating: I use stealth and he walks up to me on his patrol route and kills me; I try to follow behind him, he turns around, detects me and kills me; I try to kill him, he kills me.
