looks OK graphically, but has problems orienting the screen correctly. either have it auto-orient towards enemy, or add the ability to rotate it much faster, and with a key instead of the mouse. also needs some instructions in english.
I'm noticing that summons need to be either invulnerable, or have 10x the hps for PvP battles; there's only a couple that can survive more than a second or two at the higher levels. Only for PvP battles, though. Fine as they are for PvE.
..another fun combo is to go all magic: 1. get five horsemen. 2. upgrade them all to sorcerors. 3. after ch 14, upgrade 3 of them to flame mages.
the sorcerors actually are BETTER defenders than even legionaries, because they don't suffer knock-back effects from charging attackers. Not much stands up to being hit by nine fireballs at the same time. a good summon for this combo is dodge/poison. massive damage because you poison with each hit, and between the deflection and dodging...
yeah, while it's actually tough to find a LOSING combination of soldiers for this game, the person who mentioned the all-berserker army was sure right about it being essentially indestructible. Add a healing summon to ensure it. An army of elite berserkers.... if it could be done, constant kiting would be your only hope of countering such an army!
Please improve the leader card reward for achieving gold rank in the arena.
I mean heal 1 and weaken 1? not even ALL? Much too weak, especially considering how much they cost, and how much work goes into even being able to buy them! At least make them generic weaken/heal ALL one. Then they might actually be useful.
suggestion: Enable "friendly" passthrough. It's very irritating having to wade through my bunched up army to get to the baddies. Leave enemy blocking on, just make it so I can pass through my own units.
...oh, and try to keep ONE giant skellie up as a meat shield; it helps when you can leave it on one side of the screen to slow baddies while you help out on the other.
I had some difficulties passing the "very hard" areas... until I saw someone suggest increasing command and spamming liches.
get any items that increase command and energy max; anything else is gravy. Set your skills up with: 1. Freezing Stomp. 2. summon lich 3. summon giant skellie 4. summon skellie. The lesser skeleton is only important because it adds one command point. As soon as the level starts, press "2" and hit summon lich as many times as possible, then just work to keep the badies away from them until you get up your full army. by the time wave 4 or 5 hits, you should have enough mana to start casting freeze stomp to halt groups. The lich's will do the rest, though if you have a decent weapon, adding on only helps.
needs a button to reload the scene. In the kitchen, if you press the vent before the lightbulb, you're stuck. There is nothing to click on. Modded the game down 2 points for not being able to reload the scene.
Yet another random suggestion: It would be great if cards had a "backside"; you click on them and it flips over and you get a little background story on the card. Hey, you could even open up a competition for fans to write stories for each card.
1. New enemies are needed at each new island. Sandbox mode should always have a town with all shops and amenities available. As it is, you can easily get a starting town with little more than a Jeweler in it. 3. Add some interesting and more varied dungeon backgrounds. It's easy, and would add a lot to the impression all the dungeons aren't exactly the same. --- In short: work on adding more variability to the game, so it is a bit less monotonous.
"There I was with a pretty cool deck, then BOOM! Mission 28 shows me otherwise :)"
heh. Exactly the same thing happened to me, on the same mission. Gee, all I had to do was buy another deck to get that next rare card....
:)
hmm. I'm one bond away from being able to buy either a Nexxus deck, or one of the "new cards" on the home page.
two questions:
1. Which would be the better way to spend the war bonds. 2. If on one of the special cards, which one, from experience has the most impact on your average same-faction hand?
I lean towards thinking that the Festerich card would be a pretty decent addition to a Bloodthirsty deck.
