controls are a bit sticky; the mission texts desperately need an editor as they are barely legible. Also, the mission briefings should contain better descriptions of where to go. repairs should be cheaper. Add a couple more music tracks would be nice.
it's like Sid Meier's "Pirates", but in flash!
uh, how do you close the map? On mine, you click the map button, and the map takes the whole screen, and there does not appear to be a way to close it.
those getting a null error should try manually updating your flash plugin.
you can google up the link to get it easy enough, or just search for it on adobe's site, or check the error sticky in the forum - it also has the link posted in it a couple of times.
@keeyong82.
did you know you can fight yourself in arena mode? you don't have to wait for a random person to have an empty deck; you can make one yourself, set it as the defender, and then have your one assault card deck attack it by simply pressing the "fight" button without selecting someone else from the arena.
....heh, actually combined both tricks: concentrated trainees at the very beginning to debuff, then used consecrated defenders after. Still was a close thing, but I got it. Moving on....
I think one way to make melee units more appealing would be to give some ranged units the ability: "wing-bind" What it would do is shoot a line that would tangle wings for 2 secs, plus whatever bonuses from leveling the skill, plus whatever bonuses from specialism. After a wing bind, then melee units can hit flying units as long as the wing-bind skill is still active on the target.
I'm having problems with one of the storyline missions: "Forged Metal". I'm great up until the last 2 waves. the second to last wave is a literal horde of beetles with 1500hp each, and then the last wave is a lich with 7000 hp. the problem is, the beetles weak to energy but strong against physical (I mean, with 30 archery and 9 elemental, I still only do 2 or 3 pts of damage to them with ranged physical attacks), and the lich is weak to physical, but ABSORBS energy.
I tried using a "neutral" element, but again, the beetles just have too many hps, and I can only get about half of them. I have a unit with consecrate, but it's only for fire. However, is that the solution? get a unit with consecrate and the right element?
on my 1st playthrough of this version vs. IV. I like the more organized quest chains much better!
as usual, my favorite hero is Diamond Blaze. First thing I do is work on changing his mage to a council wizard. the combination of wizard range and slow ability, combined with the infection, speed, and sheer damage of the warlock is just brutal. He always seems to manage any fire mission entirely single-handed, even from starting level.
@hades223:
raids are meant for MULTIPLE people to participate in. I don't think there is any way you can win one all by yourself. You need to invite some people to help you in the forums (don't do it HERE, just fyi).
You can also look for others that have started a raid, and join in; that's the easiest way.
some raids are regularly scheduled weekly events. Again,. check the forums for info.
"then you can't get back in until you watch a 2-minute crap advert for catfood." Well, there is a way around that, so long as you realize that ad revenue supports a lot of this site. Have you not tried Adblock Plus with Firefox? I didn't even know this site HAD ads. :P
1. weight appears to be meaningless. You get overweight immediately, and I can't see it has too much of an effect. 2. If you have two guns, they should be able to focus on one target, rather than shooting in parallel, otherwise might as well just have one gun. 3. Quest items should be clearly marked as such. 4. why is there a HUGE jump in price from the guns you get for free, and the next step up in guns?
